I know that Alpha Gamma Delta has seven chapters throughout Canada. What other NPC groups have Canadian chapters? How many are of those chapters are there in Canada? Thank you. Lisa

Delta Phi Epsilon has chapters at:

The University of British Columbia
Concordia University
University of Ottawa

We also had chapters at University of Toronto and McGill, and I think either University of Manitoba or Winnipeg.

British chapters?

Does anyone know if any NPC sororities have chapters in the United Kingdom?

......Kelly :)

Leslie Anne 09-25-2001 05:00 AM

According to current listings for all 26 NPC sororities there are no chapters in the UK.

(The only chapters outside the US are the ones listed above that are in Canada and the one chapter of Tri-Sigma in Germany.)

I suppose it's possible that there might be chapters in the UK in the future (and, who knows, there may be something in the works.)
But, personally, I don't think it will happen. For some reason I just don't see GLOs catching on in the UK.

What do you all think?

mccoyred 09-25-2001 08:36 AM

not NPC but...

There are NPHC orgs that have chapters in the UK, though. DST has a chapter in London; I am not sure about the other orgs but it seems very likely that some of the others do also. In fact, most orgs have SEVERAL international chapters. DST has chapters in Japan (Tokyo, Okinawa), Korea (Seoul), Panama, the Bahamas, St Croix, St Thomas, Bermuda, London and Germany. Most are at US military installations and I believe all are alumnae chapters.

Sorry...I should have been more clear in my post. Since the thread started out with a question about NPC sororities, that's what I had in mind when I wrote that I didn't think GLOs would catch on in the UK.

NPHC is quite different though and I can see how NPHC organizations would flourish in many other countries.

The same goes for service organizations and other non-secret societies such as Beta Sigma Phi.
