Cal State Fullerton or UCSB

Hi! Im wanting to transfer to either cal state fullerton or UCSB this fall, and very much want to be a part of the greek community. I will be a junior in the fall and am wondering if anyone knows anything about these two schools recruitment process, b/c I am afraid I wont be able to get in anywhere due to my age. Thanks so much!

Cal State Fullerton is slightly competitive but nowhere near cut-throat as big schools like USC or UCLA. It's a laid-back atmosphere there. There are 6 organizations (NPC) on that campus.

UCSB has 10 GLO's and the process there is more intense that Fullerton. Be prepared for it. Recruitment starts at the beginning of the week and lasts the whole week (well, 6 days anyway).

Chapters at both school have houses.

I rushed UCSB in the 80s and found it pretty competitive. They've added GLOs since I was there, so maybe it's less intense.

Greek Letter Organizations. It's shorter than typing out sororities. We just say GLOs.

ucsb rush

I, too rushed at UCSB in the eighties. Although "rush", as we called it, was billed as being "laid back", it was pretty competitive.
