Should I keep pledging during my athletic season?

:confused::mad: I will go pro in track at the end of this season if I keep running like I have over the past couple years. Im going through "the process" and if pledging is going to hurt my chances of going pro should I drop or
See It Through? :confused::mad:

That decision is solely yours. But did you not "count the cost" of what this might entail before you committed yourself to seeking Omega? Why do you want to become an Omega man? How able are you in prioritizing your life and life goals and objectives?

In the past I've had the occasion to help young men do just this in contemplating membership in Omega Psi Phi. I've dissuaded a few from going on this journey until they've "got their lives together" and came to terms why they really wanted Omega.

I understood to I certain extent what the cost of pursuing Omega is. There are a multitude of reasons why I want to be an omega man. To be quite honest, a man helped me out through a long, rough period in my short life,not asking or wanting anything in return (something not even my dad has done). I find out later that he is an Omega man. If I could even become half the man he is I would be okay with that. I believe in those principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, Uplift. Add a relationship with Christ, true friendship/fellowship and thats where I need to be. Dropping is something I dont want to do but at the same time I dont want to jeopardize a career.

I have 1 more semester to finish 16 credit hours. My job is school, track, and the pursuit of Omega. In the right situation I should be able to prioritize my objectives.

If you are an athlete, the brothers can work around that....
