Dude, we get it already, we know there are "fraternities" in the Phillipines. WE DON'T CARE!!! Go away already.

I think in *small* controlled doses, there may be a place here for the Fraternities and Sororities of the Philippines, but *General* discussion of them belongs either in a separate area or have an explicit stickied posting indicating that [deleted] is where they should go.

Also, in individual Fraternity (or Sorority) areas such as Alpha Phi Omega and Alpha Sigma Phi, it is probably appropriate for members of recognized (pr potential in the case of DU) affiliated organizations in the Philippines to post.

It would be equally appropriate for Fraternities with official indication of non-affiliation (such as SAE) to have a stickied posting indicating the non-affiliation. edit: (I see that SAE has an announcement saying so at the top of the page, I didn't know you could do that)

The next person who posts that Wikipedia article needs to be banned.

And the sad thing is that I'm the primary editor for that Wikipedia page and even *I* don't want it mentioned here.

A mention is fine, but when it's brought up again and again and again and again, it becomes annoying.

I'm sure it's lovely that there are Greek organizations in the Philippines, but we have enough trouble of our own here in the States. I have ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST in the inter-Greek conflicts that arise among these fraternities and sororities. None whatsoever.

The DU thread is interesting enough and I'm keeping an eye on it. But the repetitive threads and the idiotic bickering about things most of us don't have any knowledge about is utterly ridiculous.

If you are a member of a fraternity or sorority based in the Philippines and your organization does not have legitimate ties to any American Greek organization, just STOP POSTING. Even if your organization does have ties to an American Greek organization, use your brain before you post something dumb.

It would be a lot coolerererer and more unassuming if this warm and fuzzy info was integrated with the other info on this great board.

Like, there's an APO forum so APO photos could go there.

There's a thread on here with GLO photos so some of these could go there--except for the ones where Philippine GLOs are perping NIC fraternities. :)
