Senator Collapses at Inauguration
 

It has been reported that either Senator Bird or Kennedy has collapsed, but CNN is receiving conflicting reports.

It was Kennedy I heard...details still forthcoming

NBC is reporting it's Byrd.

It's Kennedy, Obama just said it on CNN

Obama just mentioned Kennedy.

And that's why media often needs to simma-down and take a second to check and double check. :p I hope Teddy's ok.

Yeah, I think they jumped to conclusions because Byrd was too frail/tired to stand when Obama entered the room.

Well, the man is 197 years old. Brian Williams on NBC (incidentally the only channel I can get on AFN right now) just corrected the mistake.

I laughed out loud.

Now they are announcing that both Kennedy and Byrd collapsed. Kennedy's was a seizure.

Ok the media is pushing this a lil too much right now...NOBODY IN THE ROOM IS A DOC...and NOBODY HAS 100% info right now...dayum just go camp out of the hosptial!!

CNN retraction. Byrd is ok. Kennedy was taken away in an ambulance.

Hmmm...I wonder if Kennedy has recurrent tumor? They supposedly resected it all, but it's just a matter of time before it comes back. Pts like him rarely make it more than a year.
