I have had enough snow!

When there is so much snow that one must humor themselves by snow-blowing the Script Ohio in the snow.....

It hasn't snowed today, but it is freezing (even moreso than usual for Ohio).

More snow this weekend! 3-5 inches up near Akron/Cleveland, 1-2 around the I70 corridor, traces of snow down by the River. Ugh....

Mom sent the link to her 85 year old sister, who lives in Texas. She cried when she saw it (she always cries during Script Ohio).

Here was the blurb from the Plain Dealer:

Strange things can pop into the head of an Ohio State fan when he's all alone in the cold, facing 10 inches of snow and pining for a football season still eight months away.
When Scott Livingston, 50, finished snowblowing his driveway Saturday, he asked his 14-year-old daughter, Kaylie, to grab a camera and meet him in the back yard of their suburban Toledo home.
Livingston, standing behind the snowblower, started the engine and told Kaylie to start filming when he gave a thumbs-up. Then, taking quick, marching steps, he carved a near-perfect 50-by-30-foot "Ohio" -- dotting the "I" himself.

He didn't attend Ohio State, but the Buckeyes fan has seen the marching band's "Script Ohio" dozens of times and figured it couldn't be too tough.
Afterward Kaylie added some graphics and an audio recording of the school's marching band to the film and posted her dad's snow script on YouTube.
"My part lasted 2½ minutes. Kaylie spent 2½ hours getting it ready for YouTube," Livingston said Wednesday during a phone call from his home in Whitehouse, southwest of Toledo.
Livingston, who is in the industrial machine business, said he never did anything like that before and probably won't again.
"The snow was deep and I had on these big, clunky boots," he said. "I could have easily broke something, but then, of course, I wouldn't have put that on YouTube."

Let's see which would I rather have; Snow or single digit temperatures with negative double digit wind chills? Yeah I'll take the snow. I can shovel away snow. I can walk around in some snow. I can't do either of those things when it's damn near absolute zero outside!

try lving where it's hot/cold, muggy, mild, freezing/hotter than hell, and while living in the middle of a pasture! Imagine the effects on one's sinuses!

People always ask how I can live where it snows.

1. I don't need to evacuate a few times a year like my aunt on the Gulf Coast
2. I haven't been impacted by wild fires that have invaded my friend's community
3. I haven't been thrown out of bed during California earthquakes like my cousin

When it snows, you turn up the heat and stay indoors.

No snow here yet
:(

I'm definitely winter weary and we still have about 6 weeks to go. We got another 6 inches today. It's fine when I can sit at home and shovel every few hours so it's not too big of a job. However, today I had to drive all over creation for stuff my daughter. We saw a 13+ car accident on one freeway. The driving was awful. The pile of snow at the end of my driveway is almost up to my shoulders because we've not had a thaw in so long. That means when I shovel the bottom of the driveway, I have to throw the snow over the top of that big pile of snow. It's exhausting, seriously.
