NCSU recruitment

Hi, I'm a junior in high school and am very interested in pledging when I go to college. I know it may seem a little pre-mature to be asking information about this when I havent even filled out college applications but honestly I am just curious. I plan on attending North Carolina State University and was just wondering if anybody could tell how competitive the recruitment process is there. I know this is probably too early to be asking but again I am very curious.

Thanks to anyone wo takes the time to answer this!

Hi there...I graduated from NCSU in 2004...so it's been a while. NCSU has a growing Greek system, but is not as competitive as most southern schools. You don't have to have recs, but they help (like anywhere). The biggest thing you can do is focus on HS, get good grades, be involved in clubs and community service, and get into NCSU first! :-) Then worry about Greek Life.

I am a current student at NCSU. Formal recruitment isn't too bad, it is exhausting though because of the heat. You should focus on high school- good grades!
Some girls don't get the bid they want but because it is a mutual selection process you will end up where you belong, don't worry about what you have heard about each house, if you try to end up in the most "popular" house, you won't be happy.

We also had a recent recruitment thread from NC State in the Recruitment stories forum.
