Crescent Classic

Hey Ladies!

So I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas about what to do for the annual Crescent Classic. 2 of our sororities on campus already do a men's pageant so I doubt we would get too far with that. Anyone have any ideas to help a chapter out? :)

Not to be a Debbie Downer...but you're not even allowed to do a male pageant anyways, per IH.

The Tri Delta's here do a 5.00 all you can eat pancake dinner that goes over really well. Another chapter does a dodgeball tournament; last year, we planned on doing a volleyball tournament until our school, screwed us over....
But in general, try and do something that everyone would want to come out to.

We were told we weren't allowed to do Dodgeball but that may be due to the city's/state's laws.

My chapter used to do a pageant, but we had to stop when IH told us that that kind of philanthropy wasn't allowed. Philanthropies that seem to work the best are often sports related, because its something the sororities, fraternities, and other non greek orgs can get into. My chapter loves the idea of capture the flag (every org who enters a team pays a fee to get in, which goes to the philanthrophy), and I've seen other GLO's get great results with soccer, kickball, volleyball, ect.

Whatever you do, Gamma Phi Beta IH has materials on what is and what is not allowed for a Philanthropy event, so I would recommend consulting that before moving ahead on a philanthropy.
