Should I have my mom complete a legacy form for recruitment?

The title pretty much says it all. My school is having deferred recruitment and one of the Sorrorities participating is my mom's sorority. I asked about recs and they say they dont use them but should I still have my mom do the legacy form. This sorority I'm really interested in, but I dont want to be the only girl to send in any type of rec forms. What do y'all think?

If you want the advantages that your mother's sorority offers for legacies, she should do the legacy form.

What Dee said. Have your mom fill out the form and send it to the chapter.

Just because you might be the only girl to have a form in does not mean you'll get a Scarlet Letter. A rec introduces you to the chapter before rush begins.

As for as "not using recs" - your campus is likely not as competitive as others, and it could very well be that these girls have never received a rec for a PNM before and don't know what to do with them. It happens a lot.
