What was your favorite (most enjoyable? most important?) story of 2008?

Obama, Obama, Obama!

I was so hopeful and it actually happened. I hope he can live up to all we expect from him. It's the only positive news I can think of from the whole year of economic disaster.

I enjoyed the Olympics this summer.

The pregnant man, who is pregnant again!

Somehow I became addicted to Countdown with Keith Olbermann and everyday Billo was the worse person in the world! There were a few times, Billo didn't make the cut, but, I think the closer we got to the general election, Billo made the worst person listings just about EVERYDAY!!!

Agreed (as to favorite story).

The most important was probably the election (although it definitely wasn't my favorite in that I didn't want President-elect Obama to win). The whole Presidential election was important, although I was extremely disappointed because this was the first time I was extremely passionate about a candidate, and he lost in the primaries. The bailouts (again, not my favorite stories) were probably up there too in importance.
