12 Year old caught speeding with stolen hand guns

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - A 12-year-old boy was arrested for speeding in a stolen car with two loaded handguns, Spotsylvania police said.
The boy was spotted about 5:20 a.m. on Dec. 12, while driving on Plank Road near Glade Drive, west of Fredericksburg. Investigators say he was going 70 mph in a 55-mph zone and speeded up when he say a Spotsylvania deputy.

When the deputy pulled over the vehicle, he ran the registration. It came back as stolen out of North Carolina, with a warning the driver may be armed with two handguns. The driver, a 12-year-old boy from Burlington, North Carolina, was taken into custody without incident, police said.

A search of the vehicle turned up two loaded handguns in the front passenger seat hidden beneath bandanas, police said.

We had a few kids like that in our class. Big, I mean, not 6th graders that stole cars and had double hand guns.

ETA: JUst think. If he hadn't been speeding, with how big he is, he probablly wouldn't have been pulled over.

Next question would be: What was he going to do with the weapons? He crossed several state lines. Did he even know he had the guns in the car?

I am still waiting to hear a parent come out and say, "He's just an innocent boy!"

or.. "Not my baby!"

If he has parents, they should be arrested with him -- who doesn't know where their 12-year-old is at 3 in the morning?

Now, now, when I was 12-13 there were plenty nights when my mom had no idea I was out and about with friends, and not asleep in my bed as she thought I was. Parents gotta sleep, too, ya know...

He was probably being raised by his 36 year old grandmother.
