A new kappa program
 

Howdy Brothers,

So, I was recently elected Kappa for my chapter at Elmhurst College.
Sounds like fun right?
Well the thing is our program has kinda fell into a rut of the same old LDRSHIP thing every week.
I've kinda had this idea of re-vamping it to include involving a sorority for the teaching of ballroom dancing, getting someone from AA in (work that out with our iota) and talk about alcohol ABUSE (because we all know everyone should be able to enjoy a good drink here and there in moderation) and how it ruins lives. If anyone has any ideas of how to incorporate other stuff into the education program, please let me know.
After only three semesters as being involved (AM included) I'm bored with sticking to the stupid acronym every week.

We used to have people come in and talk about safe sex, it covers kappa and iota, and you can partner with a sorority to make it interesting. Plus you get free condoms. You can have someone come in and teach proper table etiquette, you always have those bros that were raised by heathens.

Well, since we can't rush in the spring (thanks greek council), our Kappa just does general FRED's about whatever he wants in the spring. As student pharmacists, we sometimes related the FREDs to pharmacy (sometimes facetiously): ingredients in meth and how to find out who's after them, what is a douchebag and why women use them, who can read this doctor's handwriting on sample Rx's and prizes for those who can decipher them (with privacy of the pt's and md's), etc.

Though that's just us... we're pharmacy nerds.
