T-Shirt ideas: Prohibition Date Party
 

My fraternity has a date party coming up this next semester, and we've recently come off of our university's "watch list" for alcohol violations. I'm looking for a good t-shirt idea, maybe a general idea of a relatively simple picture design and a suggestion for the color. As it's sort of a 20s/speakeasy kind of thing, I'm thinking a darker color, but I don't like the look of black shirts for date parties for some reason.

Anyone have any good ideas? I'm burnt out taking finals and can't think of a damn thing for these shirts. The t-shirt producer can draw up something but wants a basic idea first... which I've yet to provide, and I'm blanking out on good design ideas.

Any brilliant designers out there?

An Untouchables themed shirt would be cool.

Well it might be too late to change it, but when fraternities around here get off any kind of probation its pretty common to do a Jailbreak theme, which might be a little bit easier to work with (we've tried a prohibition/21st amendment kinda party before and its just really hard to come up with anything). its pretty easy to decorate for, you can throw up some fences or whatever, make shoddy jail "cells" out of like cardboard (the point is that they're busted up by the end of the night), this one frat gets on probo so often that they have a huge "watchtower" already built that they put in the front yard and its turned into a big build party for them. so theres a lotta room to go crazy with it, depending on your time/budget

ok well here is a really crazy idea my friend gave me !it is the theme of how to get a girl! ok well if u do alcohol violations no girl would want to date u! but if u don't do alcohol violations then u will get a girl! do u get it?:cool:

From what I know about the speakeasies they were an underground club basically full of mobsters and the rebels, and you had to have a password to get in. Something cool might be to have an image of a flapper type girl "whispering" the name of your fraternity like shes trying to get into your party.
Researching that era and the speakeasies might help with ideas, and you can look up images too to see what is already out there.

Are prohibition parties cool? I'm social chair of my fraternity and people have seemed interested in something like this, but from an idea standpoint I'm not sure I can see it being that much fun. Any thoughts from someone who has done a party like this?

Greek (TV show) did an episode where they had a 20's party. The website has the full episodes so you can see what I am talking about. I am not sure which episode it is, but in the description it will tell you.
