We can't tease them about their money being worthless anymore...$1.00US = 1.26CAN <sigh>

They have legalized marijuana, legal toplessness in public and national health care. Pretty happy people, I'm guessing.

RU OX Alum 12-10-2008 12:27 PM

Okay, but in regards to their government, or lack thereof, does anyone have any recent developments?

DreamfulSpirit 12-10-2008 12:45 PM

I'm looking up some stuff now, just to check what I know is true. I'm Canadian (but I live in NC) and my relatives in Niagara Falls, Ontario (my hometown) have been keeping us up to date with things going on up there.

The Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, is safe. He won against those attempting to topple over the gov't that he has going currently.

I, personally, would rather have another election. Listen to the people, even if it is a minority.

Parliament resumes in January 26.

Interesting. Thank you.

I have never been to Canada. It was my weak attempt at sarcasm.
