Cover Girl Promo Have you all seen the new Cover Girl campaign featuring Queen Latifah and Faith Hill? I haven't seen all of it, but I know at the end, they both sing " ...easy breezy, beautiful..." You know the rest! :D |
|
Yes I've seen it, I thought it was cool.:) |
|
I saw it but I miss her talk show! I can't believe they took her off the air :( |
|
The print ads look great; the Queen looks fabulous. Its about time to see a littlke variety in the models (especially those of color......we don't all look like Veronica Webb or Tamiko (spelling?) |

My mouth dropped when I say Queen Latifah and Faith Hill. I'm really glad that Cover Girl decided to "get real" with their advertisements. |
|
I saw it and thought it was very tasteful. I'm glad to see someone supporting full figured woman. The Queen is a very attractive women!!! :p |

Cover Girl i saw it a few times and i was susprised they put Queen in becuase she is over weight or very big boned, whateva you want to call it, but i think she may be the first overwieght lady they have ever put in a cover girl commercial at least in my recent memory. i ain't mad at her though, now Faith is fabulous and a "typical cover girl" so i can see why they have her, i think Queen is pretty but i wouldn't call her a Cover Girl, now Brandy is a Cover Girl. but that's just my opinion :) |

Re: Cover Girl Sister, I'm sorry to read your post. Queen is not the typical CoverGirl but I would not go so far as to say because of her size she is not CoverGirl marterial. She is a tall woman but I would not describe her as overweight. Quote:

All Hail the Queen I have always found Queen Latifah to be a beautiful sista. I remember when first came out donned in regal hats and majestic clothes which showed a different side of her. All hail the Queen. I am glad that we are being recognized as beautiful no matter what shape or size. |

i said overweight or big boned, lol, i don't know how overweight she really is vs just having a large frame since i havn't met her in person, anyway you have to admit she isn't what we typically see as the CoverGirl type, that doesn't mean i'm against it, i was just susprised :) like i said i ain't mad at her. |

I've seen the commercials, and it's a good idea, IMO, to use Queen Latifah because she's an attractive, 30-something woman. Many women get a boost in their buying power (better jobs, promotions) after turning 30. I'd think a woman in that age range is more relatable than a 20-something model type. As an aside, I like seeing Queen Latifah as an endorser, along with Soror Star Jones, who I believe has done work for Saks Fifth Avenue's Salon Z in the past. |

Re: Re: Re: Cover Girl Quote:
(You all know I LOVE Monica, check out an old thread from days gone by featuring our takes on Monica and Brandy);) ummmmm Faith needs to decide which color she is going to wear in her hair before they should include her in a CG add. She would probably fit in with L'Oreal. :p LMAO |

Are you talking about Faith Hill or Faith Evans? I think Faith Evans is also another beautiful woman but she definitely has a rainbow coalition going on with her hair. |
