Northern Arizona U Suspends Pike Chapter: Hazing Alleged

A reported hazing incident on the campus of Northern Arizona University has led the school to suspend the Theta Rho Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity for violations of the university's Student Code of Conduct.

The fraternity was notified formally of the suspension Tuesday. The group has been on interim suspension since Nov. 5 . . . .

Details of the incidents, which occurred during the fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters, are not being released. . . .

I heard this on NPR this afternoon. What makes this more newsworthy than other hazing incidents? At least from NPR's POV?
