Hazing, almost accepted in the south?
 

I attend an unnamed university in Colorado, and hazing does occur on our campus throughout many of the fraternities, some more then others.

But one of my good friends attending Alabama university pledging with one of there fraternities with the most hazing, told me some shocking things.

For instance, one night involved all 37 pledges getting pumpkin shoved on their heads, with a little hole in the top of it. Next the actives would then begin to pour liquids down, such as water, then juice. Which bad enough, gets worse. Next Tabasco sauce was poured down the pumpkin, burning the nostrils and eyes of all the pledges. Finally vomit was poured down these pumpkins, covering the pledges faces, aside from being disgusting and absurd the pledges had a hard time breathing through the pumpkin.

And although from reading many of the threads on this site, it seems most of this audience is not exposed or does not accept hazing. But I speak these words of in complete truth. This is a good friend of mine, and he would not even tell me this at first. He has told me other stories, that I do not want to tell, because I told him I wouldn't tell anyone.

The reason why I start this thread because he said that hazing occurs all throughout his campus, some more physical, such as the Dekes (DKE) who hospitalized a kid within the past year. And I am confused as to how hazing in the south is so much more intense and accepted?

I could say a lot to this, but I'll keep my comments limited to only a question:

Are you basing your conclusion (hazing is worse in the south) only on what your one friend has told you about his experience at a southern school?

If you admit that hazing happens in CO, why would you ask about the prevelance in the south? Last time I looked at a map, I didn't consider CO to be very southern. I think your story is based only on heresay and rumors.

If this is real, I'd have to say that's the dumbest idea for hazing I've ever heard.

Somebody tell me that he meant fake vomit that you might find in a novelty store. Either way, this has to be the worst FAIL I've seen in trolling in a while.

Right....because who saves vomit for 37 pumpkins?

That reminded me of one of the "Interventions" where the bulimic girl hid her vomit in jars.

It was actually there own vomit, from being forced to chug tobasco, either right before, or from a previous night. And yes this is real, and that is why i decided to create an account here, so i can share a real, still happening today, hazing story.

And I am from Colorado, which is not in the south, but hazing does occur, but not nearly to the severity of hazing in the south.

I have good friends in all fraternities on campus, and I know what hazing goes on. But nothing as bad as the things my friend told me. And what I puzzled about, was that he informed me that most other fraternities on the campus all haze, if not as bad, comparably as bad. And how this level of hazing is still going on today.

I think your friend is just trying to make it seem like his dick is bigger than yours. Unless you see it, don't believe it.

And I'll ask again...

So you're basing your conclusion, that hazing is worse in the south, only on what your ONE friend has told you about his experience at ONE southern school?

That is also featured in one of my favorite Lifetime movies of all time.
