Old TV shows and the Net

Are any of you aware of Hulu.com, Fancast, Joost and a few other services which allows you to watch TV programs (and a lot of old shows) on the net?

I missed most of the 24 movie that came on last week and managed to watch again in full thru Hulu.

I 'discovered' it while helping my mom buy a laptop this weekend. I heard about it before and never paid much attention to it until I found a few shows that I liked and started watching....it's addictive when you find some great old treasures!! (Can anyone say CHiPs and Emergency?)
She tends to watch a lot of stuff and she likes it becase she can take her time watching a show and not disturb my pop if he is watching something on the regular TV (no....they have not discovered DVR but I am trying!!) There are websites which allow to watch a lot of old shows as well as recent episodes of new ones online for free..the only caveat is that you need a good PC and connection to get a good stream and some sites like AOL video tend to have crappy service. But some of the sites also have a LOT of old shows avaliable for watching even ones that have never been released on DVD!

What do you think of the idea?

If you are already doing it, what service are you using and what else do you recommend?

Pros and cons if you have any.

I use Hulu pretty frequently. Some of the shows that I watch are updated pretty regularly. Others (ex. 30 Rock) haven't been updated in a while. I'm on a broadband connection, so loading time is never a problem.

Other than that, I love the idea of Hulu. I haven't really tried any of the others, but I may need to now.

I have Joost, but only used it once. Fanpop is a good one that I use to watch old eps of Grey's Anatomy (but there's waaaay more shows, you should check it out. Anyone looked at Retrojunk? It's the best place to look up old childhood shows (well, if your childhood was in the 70s and 80s--there might be more than that, but that's all I've looked at)!

Hulu is great. Fancast seems to repost videos hosted on Hulu, but I still use it to watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia because Hulu makes you sign in (because of the mature content).

Miami Vice Seasons 1 and 2 on Hulu. Best thing on the internet.
