Progress Reported in Housing for Chapter at Dartmouth

The campus paper reports on progress toward housing for the Alpha Phi chapter at Dartmouth:

Please excuse the crash; I thought some GC Alpha Phis would be interested.

You're not crashing, thank you for posting that link. I'm very excited about their future housing!

Sad to report this, unfortunately, but The Dartmouth is reporting that there'll be a delay in getting housing in shape for Alpha Phi. This is related to budget cuts at the College:

"The renovation of 26 East Wheelock St. to provide a physical plant for Alpha Phi sorority will also be delayed, The Dartmouth reported on Wednesday."

I saw this too, very sad. The worst is that they are continuing on with AXiD's house, but not ours!

The student paper has a very recent editorial (link below) in which the delay in Alpha Phi housing is the springboard for discussion -- maybe warning would be a better word -- about the college's budget woes / cuts. Not that it makes it any more palatable for Alpha Phi, or, for that matter, for other Dartmouth groups, departments, and so on that were expecting funding:
