Welcome to GC. As you've posted, it's pretty common knowledge what school you go to. Just be mindful of what you're posting (as in if you're going to post any really negative details about the different chapters).

You haven't been particularly negative, so this might be a non-issue anyway, but just making sure I put that out there. I look forward to hearing the rest of your story.

Well that's good. Like I said before, you hadn't been particularly negative anyway. I was just putting that out there. There have been girls who have posted retro threads consisting of little more than bashing chapters. There's nothing really wrong with being honest in your opinions though, as long as they're tactful, which yours have been.

Sidenote: If you would like to share the rest of your story, do so. Don't ask people if they want to hear it ;)

It was obvious which college/university she was attending. Deleting what she said was a wise move. There were no "juicy details" to wonder about.

To be continued after Bid Day 09

Sorry ladies... actually, I didn't care that my school was obvious (roll wave!), as was going to keep everything very positive. I just had a really interesting, positive rush story i wanted to share it.

But I got messaged from a current PNM at my school who was concerned about hearing too many details - really responsible and honest of her! I guess I didn't realize so many PNMs did active research (I was a clueless freshman) I decided it wouldn't be fair to divulge details/my reactions/put ideas into her head.

I'll start another thread after bid day (January '09). Thanks for reading :)

That's her problem if she can't think for herself or if she can't resist the temptation to read your story. Besides, she won't be the last PNM at your school by a long shot, so I'm not sure of your rationale of waiting until January. Up to you.

Exactly.

Who's to say that there won't be another PNM that looks at your story after January. It really is up to you, but if you feel like posting your story (and you aren't going to say anything mean) then you should go ahead. The PNM will just have to deal with whatever her problem is.

So it was obvious what school she went to, so what? People make such a big deal about figuring out what school a PNM goes to. She didn't say anything "bad" or mean or anythign about the sororities. Everything is just getting toooo PC, geezus.
