how do I approach a current member for their contact information, without getting shut down by them

I know that if I'm friends with someone first, I don't have a problem with giving them my contact info. Making friends with members is probably a good first step. That requires getting off the internet though.

I would imagine that a decent command of the english language is a prerequisite to joining any greek lettered organization.
