Lenoir Rhyne Student Dies in Fraternity Initiation
 

I just read this on a local website and thought I would pass the word along.

Since when is capture the flag part of a fraternity initiation? :confused: I'm sure the fraternity men are completely horrified and trying to get their minds around what happened. My thoughts are with them and the family that lost a son.

He was pledging Theta Chi. I'm guessing that, as so often happens in stories like this, the term "initiation" is being used very loosely.

A friend of mine knew the guy really well. She is an alumna of Lenoir Rhyne. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and the Greek Community at LR!

I am a greek at LR. not a theta chi, but i know a lot of those guys very well. harrison was a good friend of mine as I am the golf team capitain and he was on the team. I was at the hospital with all of the theta chis and the rest of the boys and girls golf team. RIP harrison

Thank you all for your concern involving Harrison's death. I am the IFS president on the Lenoir-Rhyne campus. This has had a giant impact on the school and especially Greek life on campus.

so sorry to hear of this young mans death. my condolences to his family and friends.
