I hate hippies!
 

I know I've talked about my dislike of hippies in the random thread or "what do you feel like saying" thread, but I decided it needs its own thread.

I hate hippies!!! :mad::mad::mad:

They smell, they don't shave their legs or armpits (girls), they don't wear shoes, and they hate me for being a conformist. I realize I go to UC Santa Cruz, so of course there are freaking hippies here, but COME ON! I hate being considered evil because I'm not a weirdo.

There was a quote in the student-run paper today that set me off. Santa Cruz is known for its lack of school spirit; we have never had a football team, and other athletic programs are getting cut. Plus our facilities suck. A reporter asked, "Should athletic involvement be more prominent on the UCSC campus?" One answer: "No, I think the will of the student body should dictate whether we have sports or not. ...I'd like to use frats as an example."

WTF! Nevermind the frat vs. fraternity issue...what the hell do fraternities have to do with this? Ahhhhh f*ing hippies!!!

Oh, I'm not really tripping out about that. They're just so icky! That, and I thought it was just a RANDOM jab at the Greek system. So uncalled for.

I feel you. My sorority house is next to two co-ops. Always a fun time to go past when they are out.

I think women with a hippie spirit are sexy as hell. Not the girls who don't shave, shower, or go around barefoot, but I like the girls who have some hippie characteristics, but still know how to dress and act sexy as hell. A true turn on for me.

Well that's me, pretty much.

I'm pretty OCD when it comes to bathing and grooming. But besides that, I just don't give a shit.

Sometimes I just think about moving somewhere that's warm all year and pitching a tent, and then fuck, roll around in the dirt, and eat granola bars for the rest of my life.

I don't get all the hippie hate, except for the not wanting to shower part.

Yeah, I really hate that "nonconformist" bullshit, especially when everyone conforms to a particular culture/subculture/etc.

It really amuses me when those type of people rag on the Greek community.

Oh, and LucyKKG, this came to me this morning:

You can make brownies, like a lot, and give them out to the hippies and tell them they are special brownies made with a special ingredient. Except instead of weed, use ex-lax. That should make some of them want to shower any way.
