Fraternity Elections

So I am running for president of my fraternity and the elections are next week. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Suggestions for what?? Are you running opposed? Do you need a platform?

Good Luck though!

well im running for president. I have been on our exec board for 3 semesters in a row. Im running against a guy that is our social chair, but never has been on exec. Hes riding a pretty good month because we had a philanthropy week for the first time and a really good homecoming week both of which he was in charge of. The only thing that worries me about him winning is that he has never been on exec and hasn't had to make some tough calls. How do I run against that without bashing him.

Talk about your experience with exec. board and all that you've done. Just tell them you've got experience and all that stuff. Remind them you've been doing good stuff all along.

First off, do not bash him.

The members should know who is qualified to be in charge. Being on the Exec does not make a shoe in, other experiences do.

What has this person done for your chapter? Is he better than you are and be true about it.

Does your chapter need a true leader and are you it?

Good luck if you feel you are the right one.

Campaign your ass off. It's very political and you shouldn't wait until elections day to get someone's vote.
