Potential Alcohol related death of a SAM at UDel
 

Just heard on the news tonight. An 18 freshman pledge of Sigma Alpha Mu was found dead early today. Not a lot of information yet, but it appears to be alcohol related according to the news report.

I just saw this on the local news tonight as well. It's a very sad story. My thoughts are with his family.

I always hate to hear of stories like this, greek or not...

It's odd though, becuase the university did not state in it's statement that he was greek. This was the first that I had heard of any greek affiliations. http://www.udel.edu/udaily/2009/nov/student110808.html

There is a posting of condolences on the SAM national website regarding the death of the student.

My sympathy goes out to the family and brothers of Sigma Alpha Mu as well.

This has been a major local (NYC) news story for 2 days. At first the fraternity was not mentioned but the house was shown.

What a waste.
