How long did you wait in line to cast a vote?

2 hours and 27 minutes for a precinct with only 1000 people in it. All my neighbors were there, well, everyone was there at opening, and it took forever, but I am sure I didn't have the longest wait....

Everyone at work was jumping on my case because I waited until today to vote instead of doing early voting. They said stuff like "I would be in line for hours, blah, blah, blah..." Well I just voted. I made it through the line, voted, and left in less than 40 minutes. That is quicker than most of the early voters I know. So there! :p

I just got back from voting. Not long at all. About an hour.

I waited for 30 minutes here in Tulsa.

I did early voting last Monday after work and waited about 2 hours. I'm glad I got it over with then because I've heard the lines aren't any better today.

I got to the polls at 7:20 (later than planned). I was voter #71 in my precinct. I was out of there by 8 am, including MY CNN EXIT POLL! I got exit polled by CNN! I was so excited! What they were doing in my sleepy lil town, I don't know, but there were three of them with forms to fill out. Anyway, things went smoothly, nobody was turned away while I was there, and I'm done. I was talking to one of the poll workers and she said there were a lot of absentee ballots cast in our precinct, so they didn't expect lines would be too bad. When I left, the line was half as long as when I came in.

I had to drive past the precinct where I voted when I was married and the lines were way long, there were cars parked up to 1/4 mile away. I'm glad I'm not in that precinct anymore!

About 5 minutes - got there at 7:25 to vote, was out at 7:30. Of course, I live in a small town with a lot of polling locations, and I think they split up the lines by party affiliation (and there are far less Republicans in my town).

Downtown OKC, I showed up about 8:40 and there was no line.

Showed up at 5:58 .. there were 20 or so people ahead of me .. out by 6:20 .. we had a long ballot with judges to approve and a bunch of initiatives

I arrived right when the polls opened. From walking to the line to pushing "cast ballot" took 2 hours and 57 minutes. Well worth it!

I arrived later than I wanted to, at around 7:10. Left the building at around 8:50. Only two machines. Great.

I live in the "Gateway" district.

I did early voting last Monday morning. Even with some extra form that I had to fill out, I was in and out in about 5-10 minutes. The polling site I used was at my University, and it didn't getting busy until about lunch time.

MysticCat 11-04-2008 12:05 PM

I did early voting three weeks ago. I was in and out in 10 minutes, and there were about 50 voters there while I was there.
