Breaking News: Sen. Barack Obama’s grandmother has passed away.
http://www.cnn.com/
Sen. Barack Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died after a battle with cancer, his campaign office says. |
oh wow...the day before the election..I was hoping that she would make it through the election so she could perhaps witness her grandson becoming president. If he does win this will be a very bittersweet time for Obama. Thank God he took those few days out of his schedule to spend time with her.

Oh, this is so sad. I was hoping she'd make it to Election Day.:(

:(:( Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
RIP, Mrs. Dunham. |
OOOHHHHHHHH!! Damn. I so hoped she'd make it to see him make history tomorrow. Well, she'll just have a different seat to the show, I guess. And now he'll know she'll be up there with his Mom and they'll watch over him and be able to celebrate together. Rest in peace, "Toot".

Oh, this is so sad. If only she had made it one more day.

^^^Aw, that just choked me up.

May she rest in peace :(
And may God grant Barack strength during this time. |
This is terrible. I was hoping she'd make it to see whether or not he'd get the presidency.
RIP |
That's really sad - it would have been nice if she could have seen him elected tomorrow.

When I was looking at some of the pictures of Obama and his grandparents, I was amazed at how much he resembles his maternal grandfather.
This is so sad, you guys. Grandparents can be very special people--especially when they take over the parent role. |
I too had hoped she would live to see him elected. I'd been feeling morose that my mom didn't live to see him elected (she would be ecstatic). I can't imagine the roller coaster of emotion he must be experiencing right now, especially considering that he must be exhausted at this point in the campaign.
RIP Mrs. Dunham |
I hope if she voted in advance, there's a mechanism to separate that ballot out.
He announced last week he didn't think she'd make it to election day. |
