Alumni Social Ideas
 

I am the current VP Alumnae Relation chair in my sorority and I need ideas of what kind of socials I can do. Our Alumnae Chapter isnt very involved and I want to do things that they will want to come to. Also I want to plan events where they actually get to know our current members. I need Ideas for socials that can be great bonding experiences

Ask your alumnae what kind of events they want. This will differ with age/location/lifestyle of the members.

Do you have a specific alumnae chapter that supports your collegiate chapter? Is it made up of alums from a mix of collegiate chapters or primarily of women from your chapter?

Also, if you need a house corp, make sure it's a separate thing from the alumnae chapter and the alum chapter isn't getting all caught up in the business of running the house. Not sure if that is pertinent to your situation but I thought I'd throw it out there.

^^^ Totally agree. The best resource you have is your alumnae. You should get a small group of them together (either an anlumae chapter that supports the collegiate chapter or a chapter association) and ask them what would make them attend. If your chapter has an advisor, that might be the best place to start.

I agree with the two previous posts. I am in an alumnae group that has a wide range in the ages of our members. We have a variety of activities on the calendar each year to attract the different niches.
