Little Sis - how do you choose?

The way we did it was, the new members wrote down 3 ladies they wanted as sisters, in order of who you wanted most. And the sisters did the same, then the pledge mom sat down and matched up the girls by the lists. But I know some sisters do it differently.

3 basic ways
 

1) Big picks little
2) Little picks big
3) Mutual selection (like AOPi Hottie described)

All 3 ways yield their share of wonderful and terrible pairs! :) If you don't like your big/little, often there will be "adoptions." I know though that when I trace my family line I don't take these into account though - it would get way too confusing.

Okay, I just found out who my sister-daughter is going to be tonight!!!

My chapter pretty much had the bigs choosing their littles, listing our top 3. We were actually overwhelmed with our new members...and when it came down to matching the moms-dots, we had a slight problem as there were more dots than moms. Some potential moms could not commit to being moms, so there were 2 sisters that might have to double up on dots. Getting the daughter you wanted the most depended on your initiation date and THEN your initiation order.

By the end of Preference everyone knew each new member, so it wasn't a problem choosing our daughters! I can't wait till tomorrow's New Member Service!
