BGLO ASPIRANTS!!!

This is just a reminder to all of those greek aspirants seeking membership into a BGLO: The same discretion you use on your campus or in your local community, please do the same here on greekchat. Never post anything that you wouldn't say or want said out in public. I'm giving you one of those cyber looks, you know the ones like your momma use to give you http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif. I'm talking about the "you know better look" she would give you out in public when you're doing something that you know is wrong but don't think she'll get you cause you're in public. Also here are some other tips.

1. If you're currently partaking in a membership process, please don't discuss ANYTHING pertaining to that process here on this board.

2. If you're going through rush, don't share that information with anyone on this board. While rush is not a secret, there may be some questions that you have pertaining to rush that could be of a INDESCRETIONARY matter.

3. Before you post questions about membership (requirements, etc.) be sure to do a thorough search on all boards for past threads that could possibly answer your questions. 9 times out of 10 someone else has asked your question before.

4. If you've done your search and still can't find an answer, post a message in the particular orgs. board asking permission to email one of the members. Most registered users have their email addresses posted. Email a question to that member instead of posting it for all the world to see. And if they can't answer it, I'm sure they will consult with one of their sorors/frat and get back to you with an answer.

For those of you who know the protocol, stick to it. For those of you who don't I hope I've been of some help. For those haters out there who might criticize this post SUE ME! The Divine Nine takes membership seriously. For those interested parties, your quest for memberhip is a long road filled with soul searching, knowledge seeking, hardwork, and tenacity. Nothing will be given to you. Nothing was given to me. Good luck in your quest!

PS: I posted this because of the lack of DISCRETION I've seen on these boards and forums the last month or so.

Not asking for anything esoteric or ritual, but why do the BGLOs keep their stuff secret. And what are y'all keeping secret? I don't want to secrets - just the general idea! Rush procedures and New Member procedures? Or something else? Not questioning y'all, just curious.

As NUPE4LIFE stated, some questions have been asked and answered before, such as this one. I'm sure if you perform a search for this forum, you will find several threads addressing it. Plus, this type of question seems to always go in a negative direction.

To the Group:

I have posted this before but it bears repeating in this particular thread.

A while ago, I ran across an excellent overview of "How to behave as a BGLO Aspirant." Although it was written about a specific organization, the advice pertains to any NPHC organization.

BGLO aspirants (and others who are interested in the "do's and don'ts" of seeking membership) should take a moment to take a look.

"So you want to be a Delta?"
