Just wanted to pop in and say thank you to everyone... I have read some really helpful information in these forums over the last few days.

I am now a potential alumna initiate, as I was contacted today by a friend who offered to write a letter of recommendation for me. I'm very excited, as the sisters in the alumnae group that I have met made me feel very welcome and I feel like we clicked right away.

I am a college graduate and had several serious personal reasons that just didn't make seeking NPC membership possible during college. Imagine my surprise (I've been out of the loop for a long time, I guess... lol) to find out that not only do many sisterhoods have AI programs, but that I would be considered for one.

So again, thanks to everyone for your posts. I'm glad I found this forum. :)

I just got the word that I've been approved for initiation! I'm excited to become a member of my new sisterhood. My friend has introduced me to so many sisters and they're really just wonderful. There are three of us who will be initiated as alumnae with the collegians in November. :)

So, were you initiative as planned? And if so, what are your impressions of life as a sister? Have you had much interaction with your alumnae chapter since you were initiated?

I was initiated, and I've enjoyed very active involvement with my alumnae chapter. I've also traveled to three collegiate chapters within reasonable driving distance to assist with alumnae support (feeding the girls after big events, things like that) and to attend their initiations. :)

Since you are now initiated, which sisterhood did you end up joining? :)

How very strange... my Alpha Phi signature isn't showing up in this thread... wonder if it's because I'm on the hubby's Mac today?
