Apparantly speaking the truth is once again NOT allowed in RUSH threads...
I find it very odd that the rush forum is going down the path of HPRL...
Someone pursues TWO groups to AI into. Finally, one accepts her. But, GOD FORBID someone actually talk about the sorority shopping process. Get over yourself, anal rush mod. ETA-- I EXPECT to know what was so wrong with my post that it was deleted without so much as a pm... KTX. |

Sorority shoppers have been very smart lately and have only been posting when they've "found their home". "Found their home" = "Found a poor, unsuspecting sorority to take them in." |
Some people just like their forum & their real life to look 100% perfect. We know the truth....LAME.

God I wish I had subscribed to that thread instead of just reading the new posts - I would have had your response in my inbox.

HPRL? AI? Shopping process? Help me out!

Speaks for itself. Started out while an undergrad in 2005, choosing NOT to rush b/c of being married. Decided to AI while still in school. (Yes, I remember the thread when it was brand new...) Interested in 2 sororities. Contacted two sororities. Waited, graduated, and now finally found a "home" (gag)... I dared to speak a slight against AI. It is not the wave of the future. It IS a way for some good, SELECT women to become productive members of GLOs through an honor bestowed upon them by a group. It should not be considered an alternative pathway to membership. |
I thought it would have been obvious why the post was deleted.
I'm no fan of sorority shopping either but once someone has been accepted into a sisterhood and has been initiated, the snarky comments are no longer about the AI but the NPC that initiated her. Someone from DPhiE met with her, their IHQ reviewed her and they saw fit to welcome her. That's their business. When you continued bashing beyond initiation you were, in effect, bashing DPhiE and doubting their good judgement. It was offensive, so it was deleted. Pretty simple stuff. |

I just don't get why this is so hard to understand. I mean, even the worst of the PNM brats don't get bashed once an NPC has given them a bid. Quote:

Just because someone becomes a member of the greek community does not make them off-limits for comments, especially when they have sought membership in such a public way. And, this girl's been posting for over three years. She's not a newbie. She's seen what has gone down on here. She was around during the heyday of sorority shopping at its worst... She's not off-limits just because she finally joined a group. |
