A change of heart, is this possible?
I'm in my senior year of college and a member of XY sorority (NPC). Before I joined, I thought I woud like everything about being apart of it. Since then, I don't think it's for me. I don't see much bonding if any at all in my sorority nor do I see it in other NPC sororities, like I do with NPHC sororities. The problem is, when I graduate, would it be possible to join an NPHC sorority, even though I'm a member of XY (NPC) sorority. Also how accepting are NPHC sororities (Alpha Kappa Alpha) to caucasian women?

You made a lifelong commitment to your NPC when you initiated. That does not end at graduation. You might be having a "the grass is greener ..." moment but consider that when you do graduate, you will move on to an alumnae chapter. Whatever doubts that you have now maybe erased when you join your new alumnae chapter.

hmmm...i've seen this before...
all of the NPHC sororities have non-Black members. we don't discriminate. secondly, i would heed aopirose's advice. lastly, i would read the Pearls of Wisdom on this site and go through www.aka1908.com for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. you should find the answer to your first question. |
