LOST - Season 5

The show won't return until January :( but news & spoilers are bound to start soon.

The first is that there will be no Claire this coming season. Damn.

ASTalumna06 09-22-2008 04:45 PM

Does anyone know when Season 4 will be out on DVD? I heard possibly December, but I don't know. I didn't get to watch the first few episodes when it was on tv, so I didn't watch the rest of them.

Senusret I 09-22-2008 04:49 PM

Definitely December according to Borders.com.

BetteDavisEyes 09-27-2008 01:24 AM

I'm on the Dharmawantsyou site. I've had some interesting scores but I wish they'd explain what the hell all this Pandora & weird code names are.

BetteDavisEyes 10-23-2008 12:10 AM

Woohoo!

The LOST Season 5 trailer is up!

twinkle555 01-07-2009 04:22 PM

Only 2 weeks until the premiere! Does anyone actually remember the finale? It was so long ago...

Senusret I 01-07-2009 04:24 PM

Some dude turned a gear and the island moved and Jin died and Sawyer swam back to the island?

ASTalumna06 01-07-2009 04:44 PM

Jack is screaming at Kate, similar to the end of Season 3 that they all need to go back to the island. I remember at the very end, someone said to Jack something along the lines of, "He needs to go, also," and John Locke was there in the casket.

Sun owns her dad's business. Jin dies? Island moves. Penny and Desmond reunite.

BetteDavisEyes 01-07-2009 04:46 PM

Future Sun is a bad ass and took ousted her father from his own company.

Hurley played checkers with Mr. Eko.

Claire warned Kate to never bring Aaron back to the island.

Locke is the guy in the coffin.

Desmond & Penny are presumable living happily ever after.

SWTXBelle 01-07-2009 09:44 PM

Wasn't there some flash-forward at some time that indicated Desmond and Penny don't get their happily ever after?

SWTXBelle 01-21-2009 06:15 PM

It's TONIGHT!!!

While doing errands yesterday in the downtown financial district, I thought I spotted a "Widmore Industries" sign on one of the buildings.

Sure enough, I was right. They were filming nearby! http://www.hawaiiweblog.com/2009/01/20/lost-returns

I thought they just filmed the island scenes in Hawaii? They film in Oahu, right?

I am sooooo excited for tonight.... is it at 8 or 9 pm?

Not just the island scenes. Most of the flashback and future scenes are filmed here too. I'd say about 85% of it.

Since it's a 2 hour premiere, ours airs at 8.

ASTalumna06 01-21-2009 07:47 PM

It's saying here that it's on for 3 hours...?

A new one hour episode at 8, and another two hour episode at 9. I'm confused

Senusret I 01-21-2009 07:50 PM

^^^ First hour is a recap (which I need)

ASTalumna06 01-21-2009 09:46 PM

^^^ Ah, I c.

Senusret I 01-21-2009 10:05 PM

I'm not going to ruin it, bit five minutes in and this shit is already freaking me out.

LucyKKG 01-21-2009 10:42 PM

I'm so glad I saw someone's FB status about Lost cause I had totally forgotten! My roommate isn't home yet, but apparently a few of our friends are coming over to watch it, too. YAY! It's like freshman year all over again!

Oh and DUH hooray for Lost!

SWTXBelle 01-21-2009 10:44 PM

It's not as much fun watching with gypsyboots in San Marcos. :(

CutiePie2000 01-22-2009 03:22 AM

Do you guys know if they re-air the episodes again, later in the week? I had a total memory lapse and I missed the first 45 minutes due to completely FORGETTING to tune in. WTH?

If you do, let me know.

Oh, and I can't view the episodes online at ABC.com because I live in Canada and we are blocked from viewing the episodes via the internetz (which sucks donkeys). So that is not an option available to me...boo hoo.

LucyKKG 01-22-2009 03:43 AM

Sooo thoughts?

Trying to keep all of their time travel straight was hilarious. I'm sitting with my roomie and friend and we're going "OK, they're in the future....ok, they're like way in the past. Ok now they're not as much in the past" or however it went.

Senusret I 01-22-2009 08:50 AM

I didn't have a problem keeping up with the time travel so much. I just couldn't deal with the excitement of everything going on at once!

ASTalumna06 01-22-2009 09:45 AM

I just love how they pull things in from a few seasons ago and add more to it. It's like watching the same episodes over again.. but better! And then you have those "ah-ha!" moments

I am glad that it was 2 hrs last night...if they tried to fit all of that in an hr it would have never made sense.

Mind blowing. Just freaking amazing. I love Ben and I ADORE Desmond.

My BF's one of those Lost viewers that started, but stopped, and then started again. He obviously was missing a few bits and pieces in between.

Thank you Hurley for giving your mother that awesome summary of what happened!

Seeing Ana Lucia was a little shocking.

I know I've said this over and over again, but I love that it's filmed here. I get to see the places I drive by every day and see how they magically transform them on TV. Like the convenience store where Hurley bought his I [HEART] Shih-Tzus shirt. That was the Chevron next to my old office!

Omg, my friends and I were like "Hurley! Nooooo! She's gonna think you're crazy!" The way he explained it wasn't helpful at all, but mama knows best! *hugs* for Mrs. Reyes!

So I am guessing that a lot of the LA scenes are actually shot in Hawaii?

I have a theory about the whole time travel thing, though it does have some holes in it....

I think that the plane survivors might actually be the "native inhabitants" or "others" that the Dharma people are always talking about....I can't see it any other way....I am going to have to watch this episode again...

Don't know what actually gets shot in LA, but I know for sure Hurley's parents house and Kate's house are located in the affluent Diamond Head/Kahala area, the "airport" is at the Hawaii Convention Center, and Sayid's "safe house" is about 5 minutes away from UH.

I was thinking something along these lines. If they keep going back in time, it's eventually going to affect the future, or start to lay out explanations for the rest of the show.

Do you mean, like some of the Losties are (unknowingly) relatives or [distant] descendents of the "Others" i.e. the "Hostiles"? Ooooh.....sounds like a good plot twist.

good theory. I actually think the Losties are the "whispers" we have been hearing through out the show.

That is an awesome theory! I love how the term "Losties" was dubbed! lol!

Senusret I 01-27-2009 09:52 PM

OMG!!!! I SO THINK YOU'RE ON TO SOMETHING!!!!

Thetagirl218 01-28-2009 11:27 PM

Ok, because it is only around 10 here in Florida, I am going to post my thoughts on tonight's episode in white. That way it doesn't spoil it for anyone....

By far this was one of the most awesome episodes yet as to the island's history. I had already guessed the time period was the 1940s-1950s, but I was totally blown away by Widmore being on the island!!! Why would he want to destroy it if he was part of the Others?

We now know why Richard was at Locke's birth.

I am pretty sure Charlotte will die since she seems to have to same thing that Desmond had before he found his constant!

I thought the bomb was very intriguing.....I think that the bomb is going to be buried to become the Hatch....Just an idea....

Oh and from the trailer, I caught something about Sawyer saying he saw Kate....so I am agreeing with the Whispers theory.

What are your thoughts?
