Why *we* should avoid the color "blue". (revelation inside)
 

By *we*, I mean us Black people!

I hope I made that clear.

Ever since I was a young child, I noticed that the color blue is very popular. We have blue jeans. The cops sometimes wear blue uniforms. Blue cars are everywhere. When it comes to candy and soft drinks, blue is the new black. Then we have those big mailboxes that are blue. Viagra is blue. And what alarms me most, you will get a BLUE ribbon if you come in first place.

It didn't really occur to me until last weekend, why the color blue is a commonly used color and is often associated with good things. I was shopping in this upscale store, and this white man kept following me around. I felt more and more oppressed the longer I stayed in that store, it was in his eyes. HIS EYES! HIS BLUE EYES! He stared at me with those icy cold blue eyes.

The color white usually is associated with good things, like virginity, especially a woman's. The white man made it that way, because he associate whiteness with whiteness. What the nasty little secret is that blue is considered as positive for the same reason. The white race is the only race where blue eyes are common, therefore blue is mostly considered as good, and you see it everywhere.

Ain't that a shame?

I don't know if you have ever noticed, but the sky is blue.

btw, what does your post have to do with greek life?
