Rashid posted this in the recruitment forum over the weekend along with similar posts. A lot of people got upset and I'm sure that your national office would have a cow if they saw that he posted this. I've always heard so much about what gentlemen the Alpha men are and this doesn't fit that! Could you please speak to him about it without telling him who wrote you? Some of the people he's been palling with on GC get very ugly and I don't want to start a huge war but the post below was bad!

I mean, GreekChat is NOT a chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, I don't have anything Alpha in my screen name or signature, and me and Professor are not even friends. This site has NOTHING to do with my fraternity other than the owner providing a named section of it.

LOL and the thing is I don't even dislike the OP. I even complimented her on her memo board craft thingy. There are too many people on GC to keep up with which ones I don't like.

haha I saw this thread this morning and I figured ya'll would blame me... it takes a lot more to send me over the edge. Actually I dont think I even responded to that post... it wasnt worth it. The only PM I sent out to a mod about that thread was to TX princess apologizing for getting out of hand. I thought she was upset about it. I didnt realize moderators participated in those kinds of threads, I thought her faces meant she wanted it to stop... so I PMed her. But other thatn that it wasnt worthy of any other sort of action. so I guess you lost that bet ;)

That's why I hate when some threads disappear; people think that since their words are "gone", they can pretend they conducted themselves in an entirely different manner than they really did. If the threads were just locked but stayed available, it would hold people accountable and make them own up to when they've acted like spoiled brats or big jerks.

I belong to another message board community where the admin has it set up that you can't edit/delete your post two hours after posting it. His reasoning is that it encourages people to put some thought into what they post, instead of spouting off crap that they'll just regret writing later. It also preserves the integrity of message board.

He makes exceptions and will remove posts, especially if you ask him nicely, but all in all, I like that policy.

It would also make it easier to call someone out when they lie about things...

Then you started with the name calling and I replied - the only name I called anyone was when I said "acting like a 14 year old spoiled brat". If you think I insulted you then thats your problem. I have the right to say what I want on a message board just like you do. You can move on or hold a grudge that's your decision. This is message board and I actually can "waltz away" when ever I want to. I am very happy you are not waiting for an apology because I dont owe you one... and you can drop it or hang onto it for the rest of your life ... thats up to you. I cant control how you feel or think, I am only in control of my own feelings and actions. Many people (like me) have DSL and don't log off of everything when they walk away from the computer. I've left a screen up at home all day long while I've been at work before, so don't put too much stock in the 'what they are doing' feature here. Just sayin'.

Her fake cheeriness in her posts the last few days after reading her nasty-toned posts that night has been laughable, to say the least.

ETA: I haven't read all this junk and probably weren't even if it were still around, but is it really fair to suggest that getting mad once in a while negates basically being nice the rest of the time? In this case? Yes. This wasn't a case of "getting mad once in a while", this is a case of someone showing their true colors then denying those colors even exist in their spectrum.

I'm reluctant to believe that true colors can even be assessed on GreekChat, but I'll take your point in this case.

This isn't even close. The Most Interesting Award definitely goes to the Recruitment forum mod who still hasn't fessed up about moving LadyLonghorn's post. All of GC banded together for a common cause.

Did you know that I got an email from an AGD once demanding that I leave her friend alone? This alum is BFFs IRL with the mod I was having a hard time with and the mod asked her BFF to demand that I cease and desist. Yeah, they both got a big F-U from me.
