Which Commercials shown during the Olympics annoy you?
1. The Target commercial where the girls are dancing.
2. The VW commercial about torque 3. All of the McCain and Obama ads 4. There is one (obviously unmemorable) where I can't understand the lyrics from the song. 5. McDonald's Chicken Biscuit |
There's a local TV ad promoting the NBC affiliate here that's totally ruining my Olympics experience.
At first I thought that the T-Mobile commercial with the Phelps Phan was cute, but now it's starting to bug me. |
I equally hate the Target one where the girls are dancing and the McDonald's one advertising the chicken biscuit
|
Hate, hate, hate the Target ad. Yeah . . . dorm rooms are TOTALLY that large.

I hate all the political adds and the GE ads, they are lame.... However I love the VISA ads.....This is my favorite... And when they played this one live, I laughed... |
Does anyone understand what the car (Chevy?) ad with the guy who:
1) Is ironing a rather small dress 2) Talking to someone on the telephone about a 6 month anniversary 3) Is washing out a bath room is all about? |

I believe they have simply tapped into my deepest fantasy - but I still do not want to buy a Chevy. The guy can come over any time . . . :) |

Mmmmm . . . men ironing . . . :)
|
I know I'll be harassed for this, but the Morgan Freeman ones are getting to me. They are so melodramatic that they remind me of "Deep Thoughts" from SNL.
|
Yeah, and I don't get the new United commercials either. They're very bizarre and you really have to reach to try to connect what all the weird imagery has been to flying on United.
|
I forgot about these earlier, but those Lenovo commercials pretty out there as well. Especially the one about the husband gone for so long...and the sumo wrestlers.
|
*Our NBC station is running an ad campaigning against the state of Ohio taking away payday advance loans that is really annoying.
|
I actually kinda like the Target one...the song is really infectious! LOL
|
I hate the Chevy commercial and I still can't figure out what the guy is doing.
What I'm completely sick of are the Geico caveman ads. I don't mind him dancing but the one on the beach is annoying. |
These commercials probably aren't shown in the States (I am seeing them on CBC...Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) but some of these for Bombardier are endearing:

I also don't like the Geico Caveman and Billie Jean King. Silly commercial. Give me more Hank the Budweiser horse and Charlie Brown wins the Coke (I've seen it only once during the Olympics!) over the political ads! |

Love the Bud ads, and the Target ad (believe it or not, I did have a dorm room that big once), and the Visa ads are OK too. Also love the AT&T campaign.
I hate the ExxonMobil ads, and I had to watch the toilet-scrubbing, ironing man ad two or three times before I got it...and now I can't remember whether it was GM or Chevy specifically. |
The Olympic commercials are the Olympic commercials that annoy me....
:) |

I don't think we have Olympic specific ads (like the ads only run during the Olympics). I'm just pretty tired of all commercials. The Morgan Freeman ones are kinda getting annoying--except for the one about the guy & his dad running the race. |

This ad doesn't just irritate me, it infuriates me. There is so much misrepresentation in this ad that I want to join whatever group opposes them. $15 on a $100 loan. Hello...that is 15% per month. So why didn't they say, "if I need a $1000 advance, it only costs me $150." Because that would wise-up the consumer. What they are trying to say is, "Preditory lending is a good thing. Poor folk have the right to choose who takes advantage of them and throws them into bankrupcy." Benzgirl >>>>>>>Gets >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Off >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Soapbox |
