|
I'm not a big fruit person to be completely honest...but I love oranges...so I'm going for Orange!!
Can't wait to hear your story! |
YAY!
I love it already! I can't choose though raspberry or mango... hmmm.
|
As Ralph would say,
go Banana! |
Go strawberry!
|
love strawberries, so I'm rooting them on!
Yummy strawberries :D |

|
I was just on vacation and another vacationer on the trip grew up on a watermelon farm, plus she was a chatterbox...I now know more about watermelon breeds than I ever wanted to soooo.... GO WATERMELON!
|
will be waiting...thank you for the update!
|
Great so far!! Cant wait for more!
|
Love the story so far!
|
Keep posting.
There is a lesson for sorority women in the pear story. Not only your pmn hears your conversation. Even if you know the person, and they are fine with the topic, someone nearby may not accept it.:( |
I agree with khlkcca! that would be a definite infraction at my school because it's 100% unacceptable!
But on a positive note, great storyyyy!!! :) |
Oh I'm excited! Go Strawberry! :D

Unfortunately, I know many PNMs who have interpreted sisters' attempts to follow rules as being unfriendly or standoffish. At least on my campus, I wish Panhellenic would make this rule as clear to the PNMs as they do to the actives! |
90 girls in one recruitment group? Eeeeeek!
|
I'm shocked by how many PNM's stories say they were abandoned by sisters during a rush party. No matter how much you aren't "connecting" with your PNM, I can't imagine doing this! I'm sure other chapters were taught, as mine was, to be nice and treat everyone well because even if that PNM wasn't a fit for the chapter, we might love their roommate/hallmate/HS friend and we don't want them to say they felt uncomfortable or rejected at our house.
|
I cannot believe people were leaving you alone - it's just so rude!
Can't wait for the next installment! |
I can't wait to see what happens next!

Years ago, another GCer said that when she was a rushee, one "hostess" told her flat out "You're not in the running" and told her to sit in the corner with a book. It wasn't exactly Southern hospitality. I bet that these rude "hostesses" consider themselves paragons of ladylike good manners, too. ________ HOW TO ROLL BLUNTS |

And like others have said, it's crazy that you were left alone, whether it's because of rudeness or confusion, from the PNM's POV, it's the worst feeling! |
this is one of the best ive read yet, so excited to hear what happens!

And as for the crushed look on the Active's face, it's probably because she was assigned to someone her house had already pre-selected and all of the details she had to memorize. She was probably horrified that she knew nothing about RandomBri and would need to wing it |
Perhaps Raspberry?
|
My guess is Mango!
|
Voting for Mango
|
I hope you are a Raspberry and now live in a beautiful new house.
|
Wow, talk about torture! Sorry you had to go through some nail biting before you got your good news.
Congratulations, and thank you for sharing your story:). |
Who was Strawberry?
|
Congrats RandomBri! I had a feeling it was Phi Mu ;)
|
Belated congratulations to you Bri and Phi Mu! Raspberries are my favorite! I thought Raspbery was a different chapter because I thought another chapter was getting renovated.
|
Congrats! I was a Phi Mu at Ole Miss and guess what..........THEY LOST MY BID CARD TOO! I know exactly what that feels like! I had to go all the way back to Greek Life and sit there while they looked at all the bid lists to find my name. I thought I was going to die!
I'm a little embarrassed that the skit was that bad. I hope you guys have a good one for this year! Hotty Toddy! |

Bri,
Your story perfectly illustrates why it is crucial for PNM's to keep an open mind and maximize all options (i.e. attend all parties invited to, even if you are SURE it is not for you). Many happy sorority women will tell you that they ended up where they least expected, but are truly happy and could not imagine themselves anywhere else! Congrats to you and Phi Mu! |
[QUOTE=RandomBri;1693515]
I was horrified. Tears welled in my eyes as I realized that I was not going to become a Strawberry:(. Everything had just felt so right when I was at Strawberry. I was also shocked that Mango was the only one of my top three that invited me back. And Raspberry?? I had ranked them last. I was so confused:confused:. Then I realized that standing there feeling sorry for myself wasn’t going to change anything, so I hurried off to my first party. (My bold) Would that all PNMs were as mature as you were at the time! I'm so glad that you love Phi Mu, and that you're a Macon Magnolia!! |
How did I miss finishing this thread? Congrats to you!
