Age when Initiated
tried to search this topic and got some random results so I decided to start a new one.
I just wanted to get a general idea of the age that some of you ladies (and gents) when you were officially initiated into your sorority or fraternity. And if you had the choice to do it again: would you do it at an older or younger age? |

If I had the chance to do it again: I can't say whether I would do it at an older or younger age. Things happen when they are supposed to happen in our lives. |
I was initiated at the tender age of 18 in the fall of my sophomore year. I know that this bucks conventional wisdom but if I had to do it over again, I probably would have waited for alumnae chapter....

On one hand, I definitely didn't have time for foolishness as college student. On the other, dammit if foolishness ain't everywhere! To answer the question, I was 23. |
20--junior--turned 21 that summer.
It happened when it was supposed to happen. :) Not a minute sooner. |
I was 26 when I was initiated in spring of 2002. I agree with the rest of the posters; it happens when it's supposed to happen. There is a time for everything.
|
I was a senior, age 22. It happened no sooner or later than it should have.

I was 26 and turned 27 that September (Sp. 2007). It happened in God's perfect timing so I would not have had it any other way.

I was 19 when I pledged. Wow, that was a long time ago! lol
|
I was over the age of 30 when I joined Kappa.
And if I could do it again, I would definately do it at a younger age. But hey, like Nationwide Insurance, life comes at you fast. :) |

20--turned 21 that fall, as a senior.

I was 19. Wished that it had happened sooner, but I am simply glad that it happened!

Even if I had pledged younger, I wouldn't have wanted any other set of line sisters.
|
20, turned 21 that fall.
|
24 when I joined , and I wanted to do it younger, but that's not what was in the plan! Just glad it happened at all!
|
I was 41 years old when I was initiated. As a matter of fact, I had a birthday during the process. Wish I would have completed when I was younger but things happen for a reason. Side note... I wasn't the oldest on my line. hahaha.
|
I was 18 when I joined. I'm glad I did it at that age because had I waited, I don't think I would have been willing to make the time post-undergrad.
Besides, I was also willing at that age to do more silly greek related stuf. :p |
I had just turned 24 when I joined alumnae chapter. Sometimes, I wish I were able to do it at an earlier age in undergrad, but everything happened when it was supposed to.
|
20.
I turned 21 in December 8 months later. |
I was 30 and wouldn't change any part of my experience.
|
I was 27; it wasn't to early and it wasn't to late, it was exactly the RIGHT time!
|
I was 22.
Just perfect timing. |

I was 20 when my process began, but turned 21 a couple of weeks after it began...I must say that I began my process in God's good timing.

lol--I'll answer, but I'll also say don't look for those of us 23 or older to help you validate your decision to pursue. If it's for you, it'll happen. If it's not, it won't. All of the polls on GC won't change that. I was undergrad. |
Undergrad
I was 32 & turned 33 2 days later :D. Needless to say it was one of my best birthday's ever!
|
I was 27. It happened exactly when it was supposed to.
