After seeing the comment in the Barbie thread about the quality of the FSU DG website, I was wondering - What are some of the better GLO websites you've seen?

I think these are very flashy websites, but they are a little cumbersome and less than informative. I think there can be a happy medium.

It looks like eSasson Studios owns the marketshare for building sorority websites in FL!

And I love how UF Panhel has a whole page that just lists the dinner times at all the chapter houses --- that must be handy!

but, i have always LOVED the Texas Tech Alpha Phi website. i think it's awesome. (and not flashy).

We're one of the very few chapters at UF who didn't hire eSasson to put together our website, and I *heart* ours! It's lovely, succinct, and individual. (Of course, I'm biased...)
Sigma Kappa at UF

Very informative site, though, all the purple was hurting my eyes. They put a lot of work into the site, and it really is nice!

I think the site is very pretty SigKapSweetie, but like all of UF's groups, I get lost in the pretty. In the end, however, I think that a chapter with a less flashy site would stand out at UF and not in a good way. Campus culture dictates so much. I really like the beach picture with SK written in the sand. Your sisters are lovely, also!

Very true. I don't think having a website from 2005 is very effective for recruitment. AOII actually just reviewed all chapter websites and gave VERY detailed feedback as to the quality of the sites to the appropriate people. They also formulated a strict set of guidelines for chapters that includes updating at least once a term. September is the deadline for every AOII collegiate chapter to have an updated, working website that includes all of the points of interest set out by the guidelines. I'm afraid that some of the flashier websites I've seen at some of the larger AOII chapters won't actually meet the guidelines, unfortunately.

The Delta Delta Delta website at SC has a beach theme. Find their site at www.usctridelta.org. This year the chapter celebrated 87 years on campus.

Very cute...but, I think Delta Zeta's official website used to look like a bulletin board, too! They recently changed it to a very nice new format, but I thought the bulletin board was fabulous. Very collegiate!

I love our chapter's Web site at University of Nebraska - Lincoln. It's easy to navigate, uses our sorority's branding very well, is very informative and uses GOOD GRAMMAR. I love that they have a whole page dedicated to the New Member Program and what's included in that - I haven't seen those details spelled out on many, if any, other sites and it's definitely a question on the minds of many PNMs. http://www.unl.edu/gammaphi/index.htm

That website should be the model for all our chapters to follow! I would like to see some pictures of the house (maybe a house tour?) - but that's about the only thing I couldn't find.

Omega chapter at Iowa State also has a good website, IMO.

Very nice site. I really like that you click the crescent moon to get back to the home page. Neat little idea. I agree that this is an example for other chapters. Most of our groups have made branding a priority, and this site does its job maintaining GPhiB's brand!

Panhellenic website
 

I like the UF sorority websites, although a lot are being redone right now. But the panhellenic website is only sporadically undated and the Jr Panhellenic website still has all the 2006 information on it. Wish they would update it before the 2008 results come out. On a hijack note, I just heard that one of the fraternities there was suspended 4 years for hazing! What a shame...

This website was just updated very nicely. I don't know if was in response to my message here or not. If it was, thanks! I guess you never know who is paying attention. Just in case though, I wish it included more information about the chapters participating and how they did.

The creator of this website obviously knows graphic design & typography! :) A++++

We've recently had a much needed update of our site and won the most outstanding collegiate web design award at the ZTA National Convention this year.

Wow, it is a nice site. Those Envisionwise people seem to be doing well with their niche market of pages for fraternities and sororities :) (I've seen them do the pages for several other chapters as well).

I love this site! I've already sent the link to my collegiate chapter... :o
