If you could have any building named after you...
If you had naming rights to for any building to be named after you, what would that building be?
The Taj Mahal? Yankee Stadium? The Leaning Tower of Pisa? Lambeau Field? My sentimental favorite would be Ohio Stadium, because 106,000 of my closest friends would come to me on Saturdays in the fall |
Mine would be the "Oh my god,her shoes are so fabulous!!" building.
Oh wait, we weren't supposed to name our own? |
The Library of Congress!!!! :p
Okay, maybe that's reaching. I have a room named after me in my KD chapter house. That's enough.....for now. |
I think a study room in the SLC or the Tate Expansion would be nice.
|
The Art Institute of Chicago (okay, sometimes I like to dream big). :)

Okay --maybe the Chicago Board of Trade building, then ??? :)

I would like to call some women's legs 7-11.
Open 24-7. |

It would definitely be a museum or library of some sort.
|
A Planetarium - either the Hayden here in NYC at the Museum of Natural History or the Vanderbilt Museum's out on Long Island.
|
I'd want an NYU building named after me. hell, lets dream big, i want a whole FREAKING school named after me.
hmm, an actual landmark? something high traffic. Maybe Penn Station. or the Metlife building? just throw my last name up there so it can be seen up and down Park Avenue. |
I would like an Island, but until then maybe the Equifax building in ATL. The place everyone LOVES to HATE. :p
|
I am having a minor flash back to a side plot in the movie "Green Berets".
And in some ways, I do like how that was handled;) |
It wasn't listed, but mine would be the Field Museum of Chicago.
|
I think I'll take the Keck Observatory on Hawaii's Big Island, thankyouverymuch! I spent six months there for HIRES (HIgh Resolution Echelle Spectrometer) first light.
|
If it is naming rights, then I would love to have the naming rights for the new Lucas Oil Stadium. Only I wouldn't rename it for myself. I would call it something like "The Citizens of Indianapolis were conned into financing this stadium". or "Jim Irsay is a spoiled brat Stadium".
|
My first idea is an animal shelter.
My personal dream (If I won the lottery) - is to build a ranch for feral cats, staffed by vets and animal lovers, where each cat had its own little victorian cat house. It would be open for people to visit, and ideally adopt the cats. If, when I die, the funds are there, I would love to finance a private room in my hospital's ER for at-risk patients (ex. chronically ill presenting with an acute situation). |
