Who watches Days of Our Lives?
 

I know OTW is a fan, right? Who else? Are you guys watching regularly?

I haven't, since I've been busy with school. But the ones that I have seen--well, some of the eps are just BLAH. Does Bo know that John is the father, yet?

And maybe it's just me--but I totally dislike Chloe. I would take Phillip any day http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif. And I just don't like how she treats Nancy, though I have to admit--Nancy sometimes doesn't know when to give Chloe some space.

What do you guys all think of the recent eps? I should catch up on Days...there's a spoiler/recap site which is very good. They write out a full minute-by-minute recap http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif for those of us that can't catch the show.

Heh heh Car, you remembered that I like Days.

Because of summer school and work I can't watch Days at home, and sometimes I forget to set the VCR. But I know what you mean about the spoiler site, I visit Dustin Cushman's site regularly and I don't mind going there because it keeps me updated.

Chloe has been getting a bit of an ego lately, but I'd still pick her over the evil Mimi and Jan. The Chloe/Nancy thing is normal I think. I'd be pretty pissed off at my mom if she was like Nancy, and the fact that she was given away at birth could be a factor at her animosity toward her mother.

I've also been taking a liking into Jason lately (Aaron Von Wagner). I've been watching him hosting those E! specials and he's a complete hottie!

Do you know what happened with Jack and Jen? I didn't start watching Days until about 3 years ago--so I don't quite know what happened between those two!! They make a very cute couple, though! Thanks!!

I have been watching days on and off since I was five years old! I remember the good ole days of Patch and Kayla!

Anyway...I think the one thing DAYS is going well these days is writing realistic teen storylines (for soaps that is). I'm rooting for Shawn & Belle.

As for the Jack/Jen thing....basically I think it's just cause Jack hasn't grown up at all. When the two of them left Salem, they were following a dream of Jack's. I guess Jen got bored of it over in Africa and left him. She went to Ireland (where she met up with Bo), they came back to Salem and then Jack followed and is now trying to get back into Jen and Abby's life....but he hasn't changed his ways! He's still trying to "chase his dreams" which is exactly what Jen hates now...she's grown up and he hasn't!

Is that good enough of a recap?!

About the Jack/Jen thing--

Around 97-98 or so, Days had two different actors cast as Jack and Jen as the original couple (Missy Reeves and Matt Ashford) had already left the show. Jen went through that Peter Blake fiasco where she and Abby were held hostage by him (I think). Jack had been in prison for a crime that I can't remember, but eventually he was released. He rescued Jen and Abby and after that the whole family had left to go somewhere...the story says that they went to Africa.

Anyway, we don't really know what happened in Africa (at least I don't know), but Jen and Abby eventually found their way to Ireland where they assumed a new identity. She also made references that she had feelings for another man (Colin was his name?). I think the Ireland storyline comes from the Brady-DiMera rivalry. I think Jen was on to something when Bo showed up. From there they came back to America.

I also noticed something. You Days old-timers try and think back to when Belle, Brady, and Sean D were born. Wasn't Abby born around the same time? If so, then why hasn't she aged? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif

I have no idea if this is actually going to happen or what kind of a role is going to play. But my nationals and my fraternity magazine have said that one of my brothers is supposed to star in Days of Our Lives. His name is Will Hardy(Eastern Kentucky). He played as the boyfriend in FOX, Sabrina.
I will admit. *coming out of a shadows like in a frosted flakes commercial* I've loved watching Days of our lives. I have no time now that I work, but whenever I am home I do watch it. The writers are really good on that show and they do some really good stories. Those that convey a good message at least that would translate to our normal every day lives. I think Princess Greta and Hope are such eye candy. There used to be a girl on the show named Billy, a former girlfriend of Bo Brady and she was pretty hot too.

LOL Kevin, I'm assuming that you're talking about Krista Allen, the lady who used to play Billie Reed. Krista WAS on Baywatch Hawaii until it got cancelled. The guy who played evil Peter Blake (Jason Brooks) was also on the show.

Actually, Sean D should be older than Brady, Phillip and Belle. Abby should be older than Phillip and Belle. I have been watching Days my whole life (no thanks to my parents).

Actually OohTeeny, when Billie used to date Bo, she was played by Lisa Rinna not Krista Allen.

You are correct. When Billie and Bo were first together, Billie was played by Lisa Rinna and Bo was played by Robert Kelker Kelly. Then the original Bo (Peter Reckell) came back and then Lisa Rinna left later. Bo and Hope were going to get married when on their wedding day, Bo left to go save Billie (Krista Allen) from, I think, a rape. So of course, Bo and hope were no more. And then Billie was helping Bo solve a case and someone hooked her on drugs. Bo helped her during that time and the old feelings surfaced. Bo also thought Hope was with Franco. So Bo (the orignal) and Billie (Krista Allen) were married in Rome or Paris (I forget). She then got pregnant by Bo but lost the baby which she blamed on Hope.

I know way too much. Actually I'm getting sick of watching but I can't stop. I keep taping it everyday and fast forward through most of it when I get home from work. I grew up on 'All My Children' but for some reason I don't follow it like I do 'Days' or like I did 'Another World'.

you are completely right! I guess I was trying to block the curtis/drug addiction storyline, like I try to block so many other storylines!

Did you know that former Bo portrayer (Kelker Kelly) is going to General Hospital to play the "not so dead" Stavros Cassadine? Thought you guys might be interested since GH is like the "recycle box" for Days actors! Other Days actors on GH include Wally Kurth, Steven Nichols, Nancy Lee Grahn, Billy Warlock, etc.

Well it's not that I'm that big of a junkie, I just have a great memory. And like I said, while in college I used to watch it or tape it everyday. And since I've been working, I still tape it everyday.

Also before Days, Robert Kelker Kelly used to play 'Sam' on 'Another World'.

I'm really starting to feel bad for knowing so much about 'Days'. I don't consider myself the "typical female", you know I hate shopping, love sports, etc (thanks to my dad). But I guess I'll blame my mom for this one.

Anyway, Brady is Isabella's son. And of course like Bo, Isabella was Victor's child.

I know there was a time when Billie and Bo were in Europe. Billie was going through that drug problem and was having nightmares about her father. I could've sworn they were together then too, because Bo wasn't with Hope. Didn't she also have a miscarriage with his baby? I know that Krista Allen was playing Billie during that time.

Leslie, you forgot that Mary Beth Evans (I think that's her name)played Kayla on DAYS before she went on to play Katherine on General Hospital. I didn't realize GH adopted so many ex-DAYS actors.

Geoffz, I did not forget Mary Beth, however she is not on the show any more. It was nice to see former Patch & Kayla become Stefan & Katherine!

I don't know what's happening between Austin and Greta, but something weird was/is going between Greta and Jack!

Krista Allen was in some dirty movie before Days. She took it all off!!! She looked like a blow-up doll. I'm sorry, but boobs do not point skywards without a little help.

I liked Robert Kelker-Kelly as Bo. I also liked Lisa Rinna as Billy. So...I am a bit confused..are the original Jack and Jen back? I used to have a teenage lust thing for Matt Ashford. I also prefer the original Austin. This newer guy looks like a bucket of duh.

OTW I am constantly amazed at how much we have in common! I LOVE Days. When I was in school, I scheduled my classes around it. Now that I have to be in the real world my lunch break is at the same time every day - the hour when Days is on!!!
