How north? I've very rarely ventured further north than Kennesaw. :)

Not further north than Kennesaw, for sure! I just hate to deal with downtown traffic and I think that most of us are north of there anyway.

I would definitely come if you all happen to meet a weekend I'm in town. So please let me know just in case! :)

You guys who are in the know about (hopefully inexpensive) restaurants in northern ATL...any ideas? We've met twice before and I've already forgotten the names of the places where we met.

there's a new place in atlantic station but idk if that is far enough out of the city.

also, there is another place called dinner a fare .... it's on cindy & ray's site at star94.com i haven't been but cindy raves about it

i went to somewhere in the highlands (i think?) that was a tapas place that was excellent. Something luna I think, not sure of the name.

The wait at Bahama Breeze is always so long....then the food is just OK.

Fridays and Saturdays anywhere on Barrett Pkwy stinks, but the problem with going to more quaint "in town" places tends to be parking. The bane of my existence.;)

Barrett Parkway works for me. And I'm generally available any weekend in May except for the first weekend.

I'd like to come too but will have to see how things go during the day (assuming we are talking about getting together in the evening).

Our Gamma Phi alum chapter is doing our annual yard sale fundraiser that weekend. :(

And with the uber-crappy traffic in town on the weekends (due to 75/85 construction) I'd vote to stay away from anywhere in the center of town...

Also there is actually a WONDERFUL restaurant - organic farm to table fresh food - at the new Serenbe community - the restaurant is decently priced - it is called The Hil. Here is a link:

okay, y'all, let's pick a place! I have no clue about where anything is there except that Bahama Breeze that we met at last time. Any other suggestions? And would 11:30 be a good time?

That place would be fine and so would any other!

Town Center is easy--it's just off to the right at, oh crud, what used to be Exit 116 in Kennesaw.

I say Bahama Breeze. The Hil would be too far away from me.

Grrr...I had to miss it! My AA had a picnic on Saturday. But I would love to meet everyone at a future meet-up!

OK, so I go out of town a total of two weekends in 2008 and both of them are Atlanta Greekchatters meet ups!

I was in London last month and we're going to Jackson Hole in a couple of weeks. Every other weekend of my life I would have no problem getting to Bahama Breeze on Barrett Parkway.:D

So, I'm going to be in Atlanta next week for a conference. We're staying right by the airport but won't have a rental car. What can me and my coworker go do and see at night in the area and what parts do we want to avoid?

....sorry, part about the Atl isn't that great! maybe you could get the hotel to take you back to the airport so you can take the MARTA train back into downtown.

Or maybe y'all can hook up with some conventioneers and share transportation.
