Has anyone else gotten their Adelphean yet? The "covergirl" is Danica McKellar! The article inside talks about her co-authoring a math/physics theorum, but she also has a math book out for teenaged girls. Unfortunately, it's not online yet, but it's pretty amazing.

The Girl Scouts even made her an honorary member!

I think that this issue of the Adelphean is one of the best! Danica is a great role model and inspiration. I love how she talked candidly about her ADPi experience. I also love the new layout with the pictures! Violets to the Adelphean staff!

I can't wait to get home and check for my Adelphean. I agree, Danica is a GREAT role model. So proud she is a sister!

I was so excited, I forgot to mention the layout - it's fantastic! I only wish we had that copy for the Panhellenic Luncheon two weeks ago.



Let's remember, ladies - there is no "I" in our Adelphean Sisterhood!

I got my copy when I went home last weekend (my mom always reads it before I do and she wasn't even Greek!) and was so happy to see Danica on the cover. :)

We were all talking about the issue last night in our chapter room- our president just got her copy and she is a math major. haha

I got my copy in the mail today and read the article. I love her! :)

She's an alumn from my chapter -- we keep that composite in the library and have it easily accessible to show PNMs.

When I was an adviser at UCLA, one of my fellow advisers was a chapter alum who'd been in the chapter with her. She said Danica wasn't super involved, but she really liked making banners :)

McKellar is an ADPi? no way!

i actually want to read her books - i read a couple articles with her talking about math and teenage girls, two of my academic interests.

After reading the article in the Adelphean, I ordered a copy of her math book for my seventh grade daughter. It's a good read-she did a great job!

I haven't received my Adelphean for a long time now. It makes me :( and :mad:, haha. I just need to make the time to figure out why it hasn't been coming, and read my mom's Alpha Xi Delta magazines in the meantime, because I'm having withdrawals.

Check to make sure that your address on line is listed as your home address and not school. I know that the girls I advise have not updated their addresses - exec members who hadn't lived on campus for a couple of years were still getting their Adelpheans addressed to a school box.

You and I have similiar families-ADPi and AXD-but reversed! I love reading my daughter's magazine when it comes.
