Yes. Stacey in the blue dress acts like trash, through and through. I wonder what her "Grad Studies" are in? :rolleyes:

Oh I am so embarrassed for some of them, this show doesn't seem to have any "normal" ladies that I can really root for. Anyone have an idea if any of these ladies are Greek?

Their so-called "bio's" on the ABC website say nothing - and that could be a good thing! Can you imagine if Stacey in the sparkly blue dress was in YOUR sorority :eek:

I felt bad that little Amanda in the strapless pink dress didn't get picked. :(

There is an interesting discussion on the ABC boards about Marshawna being the only woman of color on the show. She seemed really nice in this first episode but the previews for next week look like they are making her out to be the opposite.

I was so glad to see Stacey not get a rose. I wouldn't want her behavior setting a standard that other women would try to copy on future shows. I am so hooked already on this season and think Matt is charming. If I was on the show, I would not be disappointed at all! :D

I feel kinda bad for poor Stacy. She really embarrassed herself. :eek:

The girl with the hiccup problem seems pretty decent (unless I missed her doing something embarassing!)

I felt like he lost all of his credibility when he gave Shayne a rose.

Second that.

I liked Ashlee, she seemed sweet. I like Shayne,and I hope that she "wins". I was really hoping that he would have sent Noelle and Meeps home.

I hate Shayne. She seems like she's not "present" in conversations... I don't know. Seems way to fake for me.

I like Chelsea after like night.

Can't believe he kept Marshana either. She's awful.

Poor Amanda I hate this week of the show because the guy sleeps with all three of the women, then just drop one after having sex with her. I don't blame her for being mad at him either. I would be pisssed off a him too. It's kinda gross that he sleeps with all of them within days of each other.:o

I think Shayne is just acting...no matter what she says. This whole show has been a boon to her career! I guess I will be rooting for Chelsea...I liked her folks when they did the family visit. :rolleyes:

Shayne wasn't the only actress cast. I found it interesting that Noelle is an actress too. Hmmm, two of the final four...

I was so mad that Amanda went home! Shayne is annoying and fake, and I can't figure Chelsea out. She wasn't memorable at all to me until there were so few people I HAD to remember her. She seems so wishy washy.

I'm glad Amanda got pissed at him for "dumping" her. You go, girl!

Shayne really is beyond fake to me. The fact her dad even said it, despite her protests makes her seem even more fake to me.

Chelsea is just scared. That's what I think anyway. I'm definitely that way in relationships sometimes, so I can see where she's coming from.

I don't really like EITHER of the final two, but I def hope Chelsea "wins."

Ohhh I didn't think the meeps were THAT bad. Ok, weird, but not that bad.

I was so mad they had a talk-show style episode instead of the finale. Grrr!

I actually think Shayne is one of the more real girls. Like when she admitted that she was high maintenance - hilarious, but also very truthful. She also didn't get involved in all of the drama. She confronted Robin about Robin's behavior, but in a very kind way, and was concerned when Robin started crying. I think that despite her star status, Matt and her have a genuine connection. As far as her father's appearance, it seemed to me her father was just being an ass and setting her up. Her mother and sister seemed very sweet (oof, despite her mother's plastic surgery). I really got the sense that there are some "daddy issues" there and that Lorenzo just sold his daughter out in a very mean way.

I feel that Amanda was cut in order not to lead her on. Based on Matt's monologues from the previous episode, I do not think Chelsea will win. Basically the only good thing about their date was the fantasy suite and her slinky lingerie. The actual DATE part sucked. Whereas Shayne and he had a great time. I just don't feel that he will choose Chelsea. I feel like he may have liked Amanda more than Chelsea, but wanted to cut her away to prevent even deeper feelings from forming on her part.

In terms of "hand analysis" for the finale I also think it's Shayne. The girl in the finale who Matt proposes to is wearing light nail polish - most likely a French manicure. Chelsea has worn a dark nail polish throughout the show - I've noticed it because it's such an odd color, even black or navy blue. Of course they could have had her re-do her nails for the finale, but I just think it's Shayne for some reason.

The "Women Tell All" was one of the worst episodes of its kind, ever. BLAH. People at Television Without Pity are speculating that they didn't air the women's predictions about who would win because they all said Shayne.

If it's not Shayne, I am going to be very, very shocked.

And am I correct that the Bachelorette starts immediately after the Bachelor: London Calling wraps up?

At first I couldn't stand Shayne, but she grew on me. Once I got past her baby voice, I noticed that the stuff coming out of her mouth was way more real than what most women were saying. And she and Matt always seemed very at ease together.

I thought Matt's decision to bring Chelsea this far was bizarre because on a few episodes he remarked about how non-communicative she was and how things were awkward.

I couldn't help but feel kinda happy for Matt and Shayne tonight at the finale. They seemed genuinely happy and giddy.

Every time Shayne talks it sounds to me like she's reading a script.

Yeah, but of the final 2, she was the logical choice, IMO. I never got for one minute what he thought the big deal about Chelsea was. And nice fit she threw during her exit, there. So now that we know who he chose, will there be follow up as to whether they're still together? I have to admit, I had stopped watching this show after Bachelor Bob's season, but fell into this season about 1/2 way through. I thought this guy was actually a pretty good catch, so many of them have seemed like utter cheeseballs. Maybe it was his English demeanor, but he somehow seemed able to keep his dignity. And oh my, is he the definition of tall, dark and handsome!

I should say that my 12 year old son saw the beginning of last night's episode after not seeing any of the show before that. I told him it was the finale and the guy was going to ask one of them to marry him at the end. My son said "That girl looks like a dumb blonde" when they showed Shayne and then he said "Just so you know, there is no way I will marry a dumb blonde".. LOL I told him that was good because he's too smart to marry someone who is dumb and he would get bored.

So they're still together, but I'm surprised he left England for L.A. He seemed to have a good career over there and she wasn't much of a success here, so I assumed she'd head across the pond and relocate (if it lasted). Not a fan of the picture next to the story, either, both look odd in it.

This is the most random thing ever, but I had to bring it up to SOMEONE and I knew GCers would understand. I'm watching Sex and the City right now (not sure when it was filmed) and they're all in LA on a vacation. Carrie is hanging out with Vince Vaughn and he's looking at a house to buy. The realtor mentioned it used to belong to Lorenzo Lamas. That's Shayne's dad! Lol!

I liked seeing Shayne and Matt on the After the Final Rose show. I'm rooting for them and think they are super cute, but I'm not getting good vibes about the relationship. Ah well.

I don't know how that can be true, because word on the street is that there is no Bachelor season this fall, but there will be one in the spring. I'm too lazy to go find the links right now.

I don't know how far they film in advance; it varies from season to season as far as I know. With Deanna's season, the final shooting was on May 9 (the date Jesse proposed and now the supposed date of their 2009 wedding). The show only started a week or two later! But I think that was a particularly close schedule, there's usually a bit more leeway I think.

Eh, I don't see the big deal about her keeping the ring. Matt didn't pay for it, why is he more entitled to it?
