Favorite Starbucks Drink!

So what is your favorite Starbucks Drink?

Mine is a Java Chip Frap with a single shot added!

Unregistered- 03-17-2008 06:31 PM

I stick to any of the Frappucinos..Lite, no whip.

It's very rare that I hit up Starbucks these days because of McDonalds' Iced Coffee. Cheaper and more convenient. I'm more of a plain coffee kinda gal. Just good coffee. None of this skinny/non-fat/soy latte/macchiato crap for me.

neosoul 03-17-2008 06:42 PM

GRANDE Vanilla Latte
Strawberry Frap
Caramel Frap
Vanilla Bean Frap

in no specific order

BabyPiNK_FL 03-17-2008 06:45 PM

The new "Honey" line is great!
The Cinnamon Dolce is awesome too!
I love a caramel macchiatto and the caramel fraps.
I think that's pretty much it cos they change the drinks so frequently.

icelandelf 03-17-2008 06:52 PM

I love Grande Passion Iced Tea Lemonade. Even the color makes me happy :)

LucyKKG 03-17-2008 07:03 PM

Either Carmel Apple Cider or Strawberry Frappuccino. I know neither of those contain coffee, but...whatever!

BetteDavisEyes 03-17-2008 07:31 PM

White chocolate mocha with whip.

Buttonz 03-17-2008 07:32 PM

McDonalds of Hawaii uses only Kona Coffee. It could be that you and your sisters were drinking shit coffee.

When it comes to coffee, I'll pay $2.71 for good coffee instead of $4.50 just for the name.

texas*princess 03-17-2008 08:26 PM

my fav is a caramael frapaccino, lite, no whip.

i don't get the often (maybe once every 6 months?) because even the smallest one has a zillion calories.

ZTAMich 03-17-2008 08:39 PM

Anything Caramel - Fraps or Mochas. Or Lite Vanilla Latte.

PeppyGPhiB 03-17-2008 08:45 PM

This goes for any of the gazillion espresso stands in Seattle: I drink nonfat lattes and Americanos with a bit of half-and-half, and in the summer, iced nonfat lattes with just two pumps of sugar free vanilla syrup. I don't go for the super sweet stuff, and from the time I spent working at Starbucks up here when I was in college, I'd say that's pretty typical in Seattle (except for the caramel macchiato fans).

I don't know many people that drink frappuccinos...they were created by Starbucks to pull in young customers, and boy did it work. There is actually A LOT of caffeine in the coffee/mocha ones. And as the poster before me noted, a lot of calories, too.

Scandia 03-17-2008 08:47 PM

Caramel Frappuccino Light with caramel sauce and no whipped cream.

PeppyGPhiB 03-17-2008 08:48 PM

Tip for those of you who order "light" vanilla lattes at Starbucks: "light" vanilla at Starbucks means half the amount of syrup. It doesn't mean nonfat/skim. Just in case anyone didn't know that :)

KatieKate1244 03-17-2008 09:03 PM

It used to be the Orange Cream Frappucino, but they just discontinued it :(
I'm seriously upset. But I also love the Vanilla Bean Frappucino.

VandalSquirrel 03-17-2008 09:16 PM

Misto (aka cafe au lait) nonfat. I like a lot of milk in my coffee and it is less caffeine than espresso.

I also like the teas with lemonades in the summer.

Jimmy Choo 03-17-2008 09:21 PM

I usually get the mocha frappacino or the cinnamon dolce latte. But my all time fav. is of course one they only have at Xmas... the Gingerbread latte! :D

Beryana 03-17-2008 09:33 PM

Passion Tea Lemonade with only one or two pumps of melon
Soy chai (hot or iced) - no water!
caramel macchiato
blended strawberry, lemonade, and zen tea (the mint gives it just that little extra)
green ginger tea

cutiepatootie 03-17-2008 09:44 PM

Carmel frap
Pumpkin Spice latte
Vanilla latte

Egg Nog Fraps and lattes at christmas

BigRedBeta 03-17-2008 09:48 PM

Coffee, black - like my heart. I usually go for whatever the mildest roast is, as that will have the most caffeine.

My other choice is the Green Iced Tea - unsweetened.

Those are the only two things I ever get from Starbucks.

cuteASAbug 03-17-2008 10:01 PM

Grande Peppermint Mocha Extra Whip Extra Sprinkles
Venti One Bag Zen Green Tea
Pumpkin Spice Latte
Iced Chai Latte
Iced Venti Semi-Sweet Green Tea Lemonade with Melon Syrup (yes, I'm a diva)

SWTXBelle 03-17-2008 10:09 PM

Vente non-fat chai latte. It's breakfast, in and of itself.

ThetaPrincess24 03-17-2008 11:13 PM

a tall skinny cinnamon dolce latte with whip and an extra shot of espresso.

tnxbutterfly 03-17-2008 11:25 PM

summer: tall/grande green tea lemonade
white blueberry lemonade
sweet tea ( and yes you can add lemonade it.
it's yummy)

winter: carmel apple cider (heated at exactly 140 degrees. it's not to hot and it's not to cold)

food: cranberry and orange scones, cream cheese danish, apricot nut energy bar

luv n tpa 03-18-2008 12:12 AM

Chai! Latte or iced.

Also, at least at my Barnes and Noble Cafe, a Tall coffee/mocha light no whip is about 90 calories. Plus being a member gets you 10% off. Yum!

justabeachbrat 03-18-2008 12:47 AM

I keep it simple:
iced coffee/whole milk/hazelnut syrup. I am down 5 jean sizes over 2 years ago, want to keep it that way. They no longer have almond syrup:(

navane 03-18-2008 12:57 AM

I don't go too often but when I do...

White Chocolate Mocha
Caramel Macchiatto
Orange Chocolate Mocha

...and, two winters ago, they sold a White Chocolate Macchiatto that I loved and haven't seen since. :(

.....Kelly :)

KSUViolet06 03-18-2008 01:09 AM

I like their iced mochas in the summer and I enjoy their baked goods, but there's not much else I like.

catiebug 03-18-2008 09:19 AM

Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Mocha Valencia (and it kills me that they've replaced the valencia syrup with a too-sweet orange syrup)

Also, I refuse to buy into Starbuck's nomenclature, so I specifically ask for a small, medium or large coffee. Does anyone else do that?

EEKappa 03-18-2008 09:26 AM

Vente skinny cinnamon dolce latte, no whip.

One of my Kappa friends worked at Starbucks when she was interviewing after she relocated, and swears that the most often ordered drink is a vanilla latte.

You can actually still order it.

About the orange syrup, that's discountinued as well. Possibly back for the summer, but haven't heard anything yet.

I do. Then they repeat my order with the Starbucks word. I'm just like, whatever.

This thread SUCKS because I gave up Frappacinos for Lent. I like the Caramel and the Cinnamon. But I actually like the Caramel or Vanilla ones you can get in the bottle better than the ones you buy at the store. You can swill them quickly and get a massive buzz.

And the ones in the bottle are probably a LOT better for you - a grande caramel frappuchino is 380 calories and 15g of fat! Mind you, if you don't do the whipped cream the fat content drops like a lead balloon!

ISUKappa 03-18-2008 10:10 AM

Nonfat chai. I'm a moron when it comes to ordering, so I just get something simple.

LOL. I think their nomenclature is stupid, but I also think that their prices are beyond ridiculous.

Of course, I don't like coffee that much to begin with, and when I do drink it, I want cream and sugar and that's it -- no foam, no espresso, no syrups. I go in a Starbucks maybe once a year, and I order hot chocolate.

Yeah, I'm boring.

At the store I worked at in a Seattle suburb, by far the most popular drink was the tall nonfat vanilla latte.

And my friend was in Portland, OR, so maybe it's a Pacific Northwest preference? :)

Preferences certainly vary by region. In L.A. they drink cappuccinos instead of lattes, for instance. But what's weird about a vanilla latte?

TrojanWoman 03-18-2008 03:57 PM

Non-fat chai latte will do the trick every time
