Am I to old
I am a returning college student who is 35. I interest in pledging
|
Focus on your education.
|
Age
I think I am focus I am on the Presidnet List. Just something I have always wanted to do. So you think I may be to old
|
I take it the President's List does not include grades earned in English 101. But I do hear that grades from Troll 307 are counted double.

And Presidnet List? Yeah right. |
Is Allona back?

What could you have in common with pledges half your age?

I am already in my major will be graduating next year but thanks it let me know how your peer might fee
|
You would think that would have the same goal I have of trying to prepare for a career
|
We don't believe you, you need more people.
|
Yeah right 4.0 I already in my major will be graduating next year. When you have your mind focus it amazing what you can do
|
All of this and you can't form ONE correct sentence.
Anyway, if you truly exist as you say that you do, your age isn't the biggest issue depending on the type of organization. The soon-to-graduate status compounds the effect that age may have. Wait until you graduate so you can see what post-graduate membership opportunities there may be. |
I agree with DSTCHAOS...
If you are about to graduate, what can you get from pledging now? By the time yu finish your process, you'll be getting fitted for your cap and gown. With your age and school standing I think you should just wait and join an grad/alum chapter |
I'm more interested in knowing what college/university is supposedly about to give this person a degree. If you can't form one coherent sentence, how can you even be admitted, much less be graduating with a 4.0?
|
Nope. I'm not buying it.
|
bnice,
Are you for real? 1. You are too old, you will have nothing in common with 18 year olds 2. One word. Punctuation. Use it! |

Objectively, no. There is no age limit to be considered for collegiate membership as long as you are still working toward your first bachelor's degree.
Subjectively, yes, 35 is too old. The majority of collegiate sorority members range in age from 18-24. I fail to see a 35 year old having enough in common with women of this age group to be viewed as their peer. I would recommend getting involved with another campus, church or community women's organization. If you are truly interested in sorority recruitment, give it a shot and see for yourself. There are some women who are older who have received bids to sororities. However, they are in the extreme minority. |
In my opinion it would be very difficult to get a bid at 35. This may sound harsh, but most girls do not want a fellow active sister who is nearly their mother's age.
As for being on the President's list, and having a 4.0; I am curious as to what your major is? I pray it is not education! |
OP: You are way too freaking old to not know the proper use of "too, to, and two." Second graders know that rule.
ETA: "I interest in pledging" is also really bad, as is not ending questions with a question mark. UGH. |
Am I to old as the thread is titled.
Most likely:rolleyes: |
Yes
|

The reply I wanted to quote has since been edited, but I wanted to ask anyway...
Ms_Prissy00, are you talking about NPHC chapters? If that's the case, based on what I've read here and what NPHC members here have said, starting a grad chapter isn't as easy as you think, and it's certainly not an easy "in". |
