If anyone caught Tina Fey's "bitch is the new blacK" monologue on Satruday, and has it in video form, please PM me. I am also looking for a transcript.

I wish I could help you, but I have a feeling you'll have little to no luck finding that SNL clip (or any SNL clip) online. NBC's very anal about having their stuff posted by someone other than them.

Yes, OTW is correct. I only meant monologue in that it was... "A" monologue. The speech I am referring to was in Weekend Update.

<total freaking hijack> hahahaha it reminded me so much of this time in a poli sci class (Bill Clinton was in office), we were informally debating and one guy said real loud "Hillary is a bitch!" and lord help me, I lost it. I remember telling him that if bitch is the label he felt he needed to give to a strong woman, sign me up, and that it just showed how insecure he was about his own manhood. I also asked him "and just what policies, or actual problems do you have with Hillary other than labeling her a bitch?' He shut his mouth. I loved Dr. S's classes because he let us do/say whatever we felt like. *lol*

As someone who has been called a bitch once or twice in my life, I think that if I want to call praise to the term, I should have the right to. "Bitch" is no more offensive than some of the other terms that get thrown around on this forum and I don't see how it matters whether it is in a signature or post. An Advanced Google search of the term "bitch" on greekchat.com comes up with more than a few isolated hits: 3,040 to be exact.

It seems like by the selective enforcement of the TOS on the term "bitch" it is okay for someone to say bitch on this site... unless they are themselves a bitch?

that second one is surprisingly low.

There were a lot of deletions going on when that one was popular... That I could even understand because that word being present riled up the creator of the drama.

John has said, I remember previous discussions in the mod's corner, that he didn't want to be policing everyone's language. This is a site geared towards adult individuals, not adolescents.

I also have no recollection of John ever saying that "bitch" "shit" or even "fuck" couldn't be used on the site. Again, if he was against those words being used, he could easily change them to "****". It's extremely simple to do.

I agree with asterisking cuss words if there are words we aren't supposed to be using.

But let's not start arbitrarily and inefficiently PMing people for having BITCH in their signature when BITCH is a GreekChat institution.
