6'8 female basketball player slam dunks

The announcer says this girl wears a men's size 18 shoe!

DSTCHAOS 02-12-2008 06:25 PM

Being that tall is hard, in general, and being that tall as a high schooler is a nightmare. Not to mention being a woman that tall.

I couldn't see her facial features but I hope she doesn't have that "giant disease."

Velocity_14 02-12-2008 07:20 PM

Dang!!! A size 18 in men's shoes is not the business!

DaemonSeid 02-12-2008 08:23 PM

dayum.....glad I only wear a 14....

I was thinking the same thing.

I can't imagine the bone problems she may have as she gets older.:(

I can imagine the huddle talk -- you take her, no, you take her, no you take her, I'm not gonna take her, she's 14 inches taller than me! It looks like she barely even has to break a sweat defending against those other teams. You know the college and WNBA scouts are just salivating at the thought of recruiting her...

1908Revelations 02-12-2008 11:46 PM

See I have problems with shopping for clothes and I am only 6 feet tall, so I know it is a nightmare for her!!!

Seriously.......the inseam on tall pants is not long enough for me, nor are most of the extra talls.:mad::mad:

DeltAlum 02-13-2008 12:07 AM

Could this young woman be drafted out of high school by the WNBA?

Has that happened yet? Not that I'm aware of.

nittanyalum 02-13-2008 12:10 AM

I'm not aware of that happening yet either, and even if it's possible, I hope she'd take a college opportunity first for her own sake.

At University of Tennessee, we are quite used to the "dunk" having had Michelle Snow, and now Candice Parker.

She should because WNBA players aren't paid like their NBA counterparts....I still don't think there is a player that has broken the million dollar mark yet.

Agree. But I think that about the men as well.

On the other hand, some people aren't college material. Not saying that about this young woman at all.

jitterbug13 02-13-2008 11:32 PM

I was telling my stepdad about her and about her chances in making the WNBA. Since now the NBA won't let kids out of HS go into the draft, we were thinking that the same rules apply to the WNBA (NBA owns WNBA).

But I can see Tennessee, LSU (calling her the female Shaq), Rutgers and a whole lot of other good women's college teams callling her.
