How do YOU determine how good a GLO is?
For fraternities I go by how cool the guys are, which sororities they associate with, their alumni base, and how good their functions are. Those are the major factors with many other factors coming into play.
For sororities I go by how good looking the girls are, how organized they are as a whole, and how classy they are. |
If I am in it, or Chuck Norris.
|
Isn't obvious--how good they step and stroll.

In all seriousness, I don't care how good anyone else is. I figure that a chapter is doing well if all of the girls are happy and get along and the chapter is maintaining the standards of its national organization. |
I don't make those kinds of judgments. I figure if the members are happy in their org, then it's good.
|
LG and KSU.....this is a serious thread, treat it as such.
LOL |
Well as we all know now, Chuck Norris is in Tri-Delta. So that makes Tri-Delta THE coolest NPC group. So there's your answer Fratty :D
|
What? Grades have nothing to do with it?
|
Chuck doesn't get grades, grades get Chucked. Therefore, grades do not matter.
|
I always liked Tri-Delta. I just didn't know if Tri-Delt was worth getting Chucked.

At or near the top in grades year in/out.
At or near the top in manpower year in/out. At or near the top in Intramurals year in/out. Strong/Influential alumni base. Regularly function with top tier Sororities. and lastly, most of the members drive big pickup trucks or SUV's. ;) For the gals, the % of hot to average/ugly. Example: 9 hotties to 1 fug = the top. No house can have 100% hotness. (Well, OU Tri-Delt back in the day came damn close). |

Personally I like to judge the sororities by how much they can drink, how much their daddy's make, and how many of them hook up after a party (and which fraternity the guys they hook up with are in). :p
|
The worst thing about this thread is that there are people on here actually taking it seriously.
My own theory is that PhiGam must not himself be very good looking because he listed looks as a factor only for sororities but mysteriously omitted it for fraternities. Not ready to admit a weakness, there, PhiGam? |
Damn it violetpretty... stole the words right out from under me.
ETA: My previous PhiGam theory goes for you, too, banditone. |
We judge by how much Chuck can stomp on the FSU Fijis

Well, the reason I'm currently interested in the frat that I am is because my father is a member of this amazing fraternity, my godfather is a member of this fraternity, I grew up with my dad's line (I was born immediately after he crossed) and have attended chapter meetings as a young child, unwillingly, of course...They were extremely boring as a kid. Anyway, the more I researched and discovered and talked to current members of this org, the more I fell in love with it (from a distance of course, since I'm not Greek). Also, the brothers of this frat are mad cool peoples, they are heavily involved on and off campus, and they know when to have fun and when they're about they business. Hope this helps.

Okay, Miss Pristine Pearl of Perfection, 1908Revelations, what am I doing that is so wrong? Maybe if you told me, I could stop and learn. You guys get so pissed at Non-Greeks for being so "ignorant", yet you do nothing to help in eradicating the ignorance. Also, being that many Greek organizations prefer to remain secretive in their tendencies and traditions, it is only natural that I'm ignorant to most of this and have a lot to learn....So, I'm asking you, politely, what am I doing wrong?
|
Quote:
However I must wonder if you actually grew up in the frat why do you need us to tell you? |
Well, you see, I didn't say that I grew up in the frat, because that's not true. At no point was I "in" this fraternity and I made that clear. I have never been Greek nor pledged, but I see my current behavior no less of respectful and appropriate. You're very welcome, by the way.

But you know that you're not really a nonGreek or an aspirant. |
Delta Sigma Theta, if I am not a nonGreek or an aspirant, I don't understand...What am I? No inappropriate responses please, I just don't see why I'm not an interest...Like...what do you guys think I am? LOL, I don't understand.

Interest2008: I don't think that name calling someone "miss pristine pearl of perfection" is the "polite" way to ask someone why people on GC are perceiving your posts as just a little ridiculous, ya dig?
|
Lol, this shit is funny as hell....So the frat on my campus calls me an "interest", but because you say I'm a "Non-Greek" or an "aspirant", I am not an interest. Wow, well I don't know who "we" is composed of, but "we" clearly is not the general consensus of the Greek population.

I think that "we" are probably a more accurate representation of the greek population than you are, 25 posts and counting on your first GC day.
|
Wow, so apparently, some of you Greeks are "big" online, but in person, you're just like everyone else. Sorry to break it to you, sweetie. And your sorority [Delta Sigma Theta] is a very nice sorority [well there's a nice chapter on my campus], it's a shame that all organizations have to have that biotch that hates on everyone. :p:p

I wish there was a buzzer that went off when trolls and sockpuppets run out of steam.
